Muhlebach Family Retreat

We are newly listed on AirBnB, but have been renting our lovely house for the last 11 years. A perfect getaway in Lake Tahoe. The house has premium linens, an amazing great room with a gourmet overly stocked kitchen. Bedrooms on a separate floor for privacy with a game room walking out to more than one acre of outdoor play space. Every year I spend a lot of time improving the house. This season has added a 50amp EV charger and updated beautiful high end bath linens. 8 adults max. The space This is a well appointed comfortable house That can comfortable sleep 16. There are 5 rooms for 4 for adults with 2 king en-suite bedrooms and 2 queen bedrooms. And then 4 sets of bunk beds for 8 kids. We take pride in having high quality linens and toiletries. With a very stocked kitchen Cuisinart, Kitchenaid Mixer, rice cooker, slow cooker, blenders, griddle, waffle irons, double oven, Viking range, better than average knives, place settings and nice flatware for 16, wine and drinking glasses for many. We have a great hot tub up in the tree tops that offer great night star watching and relaxing. Once every few years the hot tub likes to cause issues. If this happens during your stay you will immediately be refunded 15% for any nights the hot tub does not work. We are part of an HOA and the rules for using the amenities have changed a lot over recent years. These rules now apply to all houses in Tahoe Donner. We are only allowed 6 guests over the age of 3. The daily guest access is $24 per person. And $10 for 3-6 year olds. With this new rules I find using the amenities to not be useful. Yes they are nice and yes they exist. But for a large group like our house accommodates it is not very practical and expensive. (Updated Oct. 2025) Guest access Guest access is by key pad and you simply let yourself in. Other things to note Tahoe has potential to have tremendous storms in the winter...and smoke in the summer. I do my best to allow early check-ins and late check-outs for weather and if you can't make a date due to weather to move your stay to a shoulder season date. This probably happens once every 2 years. Please buy travel insurance if this is a problem for you. I have a large house and I am not typically able to rent on short notice.
