Heron's Perch on Peaks' Island
Heron's Perch on Peaks' Island has space to hold everyone and cozy spots to curl up on your own. Just steps to the market and ice cream shop and a short bike ride to the open ocean on the back shore. Beautiful porch to enjoy morning coffee and light filled rooms. Four bedrooms, two living rooms, back deck with grill and large lawn. We are in a residential neighborhood and for this reason the quiet hours are mandatory from 10PM-7AM. Heron's Perch is up the hill from Island Ave and walking distance to down front. It is in a neighborhood and has privacy and a yard. There are four bedrooms and a full bath upstairs with a total of 3 queen beds, 2 double beds and a twin bed. One bedroom has a desk. Heron's Perch was built in 1867 and the stairs to the second floor are steeper than modern stairs. There is a sleeping area with a comfortable foldout futon and desk on the first floor off the sitting room and a 3/4 bath downstairs. The kitchen is large and open to the dining area. Lots of light. Please park off the street on the edge of our property. You can back up to the back porch to unload, but otherwise we ask that you park on the grass along the street. It is important to park off the street to allow access for emergency vehicles on the road. We will be available by phone or text Peaks' Island is a sweet community a 20 minute ferry ride from Portland, ME. During the summer and shoulder seasons there are restaurants, food trucks, bicycle rentals, local museum and art gallery. Have all the serenity of being on an island with the amenities of being close to a city with art, excellent restaurants, sailing and boutique shopping. The Old Port of Portland is walking distance from the ferry terminal. Parking is available on the street at the house. Parking is also available on the mainland.
