This fascinating property also includes a museum showcasing the history of the original courthouse and police station. The perfect opportunity for your own murder mystery night! Please supervise children in the museum. The items belong to the National Trust and we trust you to respect them. The Courthouse is adjacent to the Wellington Ferry, the first ferry crossing on the Murray River and original route from Victoria through to Adelaide. Wellington is located just over an hour’s drive from Adelaide: • 20 mins from the award winning wineries, cellar doors and restaurants of Langhorne Creek • 30 mins from Monarto Zoo and Murray Bridge • 10 kms from The Bend Motorsport Park, Tailem Bend • Upstream from Lake Alexandrina on the way through to the Coorong National Park Self catering and BYO, we can connect you with local restaurants, caterers and cellar doors. The famous Wellington Hotel is only100m away. The local petrol station has a range of essential items and the nearest supermarket is in Tailem bend. Full laundry facilities provided including a washing machine and dryer. Boat ramp is only 1km down the road. Pet friendly with large, fully enclosed courtyard, please keep pets out of the buildings. BYO pet beds and anything else you need to care for your pet. Special events and parties welcome by arrangement, please contact the property owners. Guest access Lots of parking around the building Other things to note Please note that 2 bedrooms are on the lower level, guests will need to walk outside to access the bathrooms and house. The whole property is supplied by filtered Murray water and not suitable for drinking. There is a reverse osmosis drinking tap in the kitchen but also recommend bringing your own drinking water. The large lawn area facing the river is half public park with the river bank also public. The hire costs include the allowance to have a party for up to 30 people staying at the venue. The building, surroundings and large covered courtyard make it a great location for larger gatherings. So please contact us for details and additional costs. We have installed cameras in the museum because we want to protect and respect the historic museum items and hope guests will too. we therefore ask guests to please not be in museum after 7pm at night unless you have a special request.
