In taking a page from the "tiny house" architecture, the 2 twin beds (or one king, combined) are in a loft, one twin in LR serves as a sofa. The space **Accessibility note: must love stairs and ladders. The guest studio - new in 2017 - is a large room with 14’ cathedral ceiling, ceiling fan, A/C and heat, with full private bath, an easy chair, corner sofa, table and chairs, with a "micro kitchen" - small fridge, microwave, toaster, and drip coffee maker. There is a private deck surrounded by woods, and picnic table. Parking is in the space identified (sign) by the garage/house. The king size bed (or two twin beds) is in a wool-carpeted loft accessed by an alternating-tread ladder/stair (see photos). A sturdy live-edge pine railing on the loft was made from an 80’ white pine felled on this property. There are plenty of windows for natural light, and plenty of privacy as well. Guest access Guests access the studio either through the garage with its finished stairwell, or by the private deck. Parking is in the “T” next to the red truck, and is marked with a “P” sign. You may park to unload next to the house but then please move to the designated spot. Please do not block the garage. Guests have a private deck with a bench, and a picnic table on the wooded side of the building. Other things to note This is a great place from which to explore all that Leelanau County has to offer, year-round. While this studio is ideal for two people, it can sleep 3 using the twin in the LR. If you wish to have more than three people please reach out to us in advance so we can accommodate.
