The Rockhouse is 126 paces from Duval street where you can find restaurants, shopping, and nightlife. Up the street about a block is the famous Hemingway house full of polydactyl cats that enjoy Key West living. Across from the Hemingway house is the lighthouse. Enjoy a walk to the top and you can see all around the island. Step outside your door and look south and you can see the Southernmost Point Buoy which is 90 miles to Cuba. You can walk a block and rent a scooter, bicycle or golf cart to cruise around town. If you don’t want to drive you can get on the trolly or take a free bus trip around town. Make sure to go to Mallory Square and check out the beautiful sunset and nighttime street entertainment. Lots to see and enjoy. You don’t need a car to enjoy Key West. The “free” bus, Duval Loop, can take you all around town get off and on as much as you want and it’s right outside the Rockhouse. The bus runs every 20 minutes during the day. There’s a trolley for sightseeing or rent a scooter, bike, or golf cart. All the comforts of home - when you step outside you will realize you are on vacation.
