We are about 20 minutes from Sturgis, half an hour from Deadwood, and 40 minutes from Rapid City. The nighttime sky is very dark for viewing all the constellations; we have solar lights around the house, but it can be dark without a flashlight. Please keep in mind we are in the forest, and there are bugs, flying insects, and small critters. We work very hard to keep them out of the house! The space Once a Stagecoach stop, this late 1900's house has been newly updated and remodeled to include 4 bedrooms (upstairs) with walk in closets, comfortable pillowtop mattresses, several pillow options for sleeping comfort. Main level keyless entry lets you into the kitchen - gas stove, microwave, full size refrigerator, dishwasher, and all the pans, dishes, utensils you need to prepare a meal. The large dining area offers a full self-service coffee bar, including french press, slow drip, single serve coffee options, and coffee grinder to grind your own coffee beans. Guest laundry area is off the kitchen. At the top of the stairs there's a quiet book nook filled with area travel books, assorted novels, and the best part, a view of the barn and national forest that borders our property on 3 sides. Gas grill in the backyard. Two sitting porches. Outdoor games available. Guest access Entire house rental. We live nearby, and are available for questions, suggestions about what to do in the area. -There are several old buildings on the property that are not open to guests.
