The space Born in the early 1980s, this vintage shipping container was rebuilt almost entirely with materials from our family farm. Interior wood came from an old barn that once stored Buffalo Trace bourbon barrels. Look for the grain and character in the trim and accents. We hand set the porch posts, added barrel details outside, and kept the build simple and honest, with the patina and quirks that make this cabin a true one-of-a-kind. Evenings bring fireflies and a big Kentucky sky; the porch is perfect for sipping something local and listening to the ridge settle in. If you’re touring bourbon country, Buffalo Trace is about 45 minutes away, and other Bourbon Trail stops are within easy day-trip range. This cabin is a small, heartfelt project that was crafted from our homeland for travelers who appreciate a little history and a lot of rustic charm. Guest access Roam 200 private acres of our family farms rolling hills, quiet woods, a spring-fed pond, and a wide creek winding through the bluegrass valley. Catch the sunrise on our ridge, sunset in the pasture, and stay up late for the big Kentucky night sky. Off-property, you’re close to several lakes and wineries, with Bourbon Trail distilleries, restaurants, and essentials an easy drive away. An in-cabin guidebook maps out trail loops, photo spots, picnic nooks, and our favorite local stops a long the way. Other things to note Just to note! The cabin is capable of sleeping up to 4 people. You'll notice in the pictures that when the main bed is folded down, the couch under the main bed is also a space available to sleep. It's a little tight, but im a big guy, and im able to make it work for myself. You'll also notice the upper bed over the main bed. The upper bed is a little smaller than the main bed, but it's more than enough for 2 people to cozy up to one another. I just wanted to share all the options for sleeping arrangements so you can see for yourself whether our accommodation will work for you. All in all, this is an amazing little cabin with a ton of charm. You'll enjoy your stay for sure!
