Experience the history of this unique and memorable vacation space! We have renovated the bottom portion of our early 1800's bank barn and turned it into a private spot to relax in. The rest of the barn is still a working barn, so you will see horses coming and going, feed being loaded, and hear the sounds of horses neighing in the stalls! Feel free to take a walk through the farm and see the horses. We are only 25 minutes to Hershey and can provide a restful stay after a day at the Park! The space The space is all one level except for two steps up into the kitchen and bathroom. You enter into the main living area which features a large seating arrangement around the TV, bar height table with two stools, and a dining table and chairs. The two bedrooms are off of this main living space. This is a barn, so the original hand-hewn old beams and stone foundation walls are exposed. It's beautiful! It's also still a working barn, so you might hear others walking around outside and upstairs, horses neighing or coming in or out of the barn, and feed being loaded. It's just part of living on a farm! Guest access The apartment is the lower side of our bank barn. There is parking directly outside of the barn. We are located just off of Route 72. Trips to Hershey are an easy 25-minute drive. You may walk through the farm on a gravel path to our rear stables and watch the action of horse training. Other things to note The barn space is private and enjoyable! The horses on our farm are here for training which means they are young, have bad habits, or don't know how to be ridden yet. Because of this, we ask that you don't touch or reach into their pastures to pet them. You may watch all you'd like! We also have two corgis and two labs that work on the farm and run off-leash when they are out. They are extremely friendly and safe and will definitely want to run up to you and greet you. Please take that into consideration if you are traveling with pets.
