The space Relax and unwind at this spacious mountain retreat. Our cabin boasts 4 bedrooms with additional beds. The Master loft bedroom is enclosed and overlooks the drive with a King-size bed and full bath. Outside the master loft bedroom is a full bed futon that doubles as a tranquil seating area. On the main floor are 3 bedrooms with all Queen-size beds. The downstairs Master bedroom has a beautiful, large black marble vanity with a zen walk-in shower. Take a shower and then relax in the library full of wonderful books and cookbooks. The couch in the library has a pull-out queen-size bed. The other two bedrooms are beautifully decorated and have queen-size beds with a shared full bath. There is also an additional half bath right off the main living room. There are 4 total bathrooms (3 full baths and one half bath). There is a wrap-around glass porch on the front of the cabin and a large screened-in porch on the back wing of the cabin with ramp access. Clayton, Georgia, is a beautiful and charming mountain town that still has its rustic charm while appealing to out-of-town guests. Downtown Clayton is 3 miles from the cabin and has great restaurants and shopping. Local wineries, a distillery, and a brewery are all close by, along with miles of trails with scenic views and wildlife. We are looking forward to hosting you! Thank you for considering our family mountain cabin for your stay. Guest access Our cabin is a rustic getaway at the top of a mountain, and parking is limited. Parking available on the driveway for up to 3 cars. There is a one-quarter-mile gravel road after the paved road (with a sign suggesting you engage 4WD if you have it), but this is regularly traversed by many different small vehicles without 4WD (I drive a Prius wagon up the mountain in most conditions, other than ice/snow). In ice/snow conditions, an AWD or 4WD is highly recommended. Motorcycles tend to have trouble traversing the gravel road and are not allowed. One entrance has a ramp for those who require wheelchair access or have trouble with stairs. Other things to note Have an incredible experience staying in a genuine Adirondack log cabin with rustic decor, but all the modern amenities. The view of the surrounding mountains is breathtaking! Watch the sunrise over Pinnacle Mountain from the glass porch and see the lights of downtown Clayton from the screened-in porch! Make memories to last a lifetime! The loft tub is an older model jacuzzi-type tub that is currently out of order. Please do not use the tub or turn on the jacuzzi jets. We are currently in the process of researching options to replace the tub or redo the whole loft bathroom, but replacement/demo will require a large downtime, so we are hoping to schedule repairs for this coming winter. The downstairs tub and the shower in the loft bathroom are fully functioning. House Rules: House rules--please read before requesting to book. You agree to all house rules by completing your reservation. We want this to be a pleasant and fun experience for all our guests. 1. This home is most suitable for no more than 8 adults (1 king, 3 queens) with a max occupancy of 12 (additional queen pull-out sofa & full futon). Our cabin is located on top of a mountain with neighbors throughout the mountain, near and far. 2. Quiet hours are 11 PM - 8 AM and strictly enforced, which includes all outdoor areas on the mountain. No parties or loud gatherings. We want to be good neighbors! Any party or group creating excessive noise/disturbances will be asked to leave and will not be refunded. This includes loud music, conversations, etc. If our neighbors complain, we will be contacting you. Help us protect our ability to offer our home to respectful guests like you! 3. No more than three cars at the property at any time. Driveway space is limited. We are on a mountain! 4. Absolutely no smoking or vaping anywhere in the cabin or on the grounds. We are surrounded by forest, leaves & underbrush. No candles either. 5. Absolutely no pets. One of the owners has a severe pet allergy. 6. Wi-Fi. We have recently upgraded our internet service to Starlink and regularly achieve 250 mb/s download speed. We are very excited to offer our guests a reliable internet connection on top of the mountain. We also have satellite TV (living room & library) and cell signals for most major carriers, including Verizon and AT&T. 7. HOT TUB. Use at your OWN risk. To open the hot tub, unclip the carabiners on the side with the stairs and then fold the front half of the cover over the bar. Lift the bar up and to the back of the hot tub, and the hot tub cover will hang over the bar at the back of the hot tub (creating what looks like a back wall). To close, lower the bar and then fold the cover to enclose the forward half of the hot tub. Make sure to attach the hot tub cover to the carabiners, or the wind could blow it back open. A. Consult a physician before use if you are pregnant, elderly, have diabetes, heart disease, high/low blood pressure, or any other health concerns B. Guest understands that a hot tub is available on the property for their private use. The guest assumes any liability from the use of said hot tub. The guest is aware that using the hot tub while under the influence of alcoholic beverages increases the effects of alcohol. Guests will keep the hot tub closed and the cover locked when not in use and will supervise any children (10 or older) when using the hot tub. By using the hot tub, the Guest agrees to assume all liability from said use and hereby indemnifies the owner(s). C. Maximum capacity is SIX (6) individuals. D. Children Under 10 NOT PERMITTED E. Ages 10-18 OR ANYONE WITH A DISABILITY MUST BE SUPERVISED AT ALL TIMES. F. No glass in or around the hot tub. G. No food in or around the hot tub. H. No soaps, oils, lotions, bath bombs, or bubbles to be added to the hot tub water. I. No jumping or diving in the hot tub. J. Limit hot tub soaking time to 30 minutes. K. Take care to exit and enter the hot tub safely & slowly. L. Swim suits are required in the hot tub. M. Please TURN OFF the jets after use. N. Hot tub cover must be locked after each use (4 carabiner locks attached to tub) O. Please do not sit or lie on the hot tub cover. P. Hot tub must be covered when not in use 8. EXERCISE EQUIPMENT. Use at your own risk. A. I agree to comply with all rules imposed by the owners regarding the use of the facilities and equipment. I agree to conduct myself in a controlled and reasonable manner at all times, and to refrain from using any equipment in a manner inconsistent with its intended design and purpose. B. I understand and acknowledge that the use of exercise equipment involves risk of serious injury, including permanent disability and death. C. I agree to be solely responsible for the safety and wellbeing of my guest(s) and myself when using any exercise equipment.
