This ten year old home is eco friendly and has industrial-modern features throughout. It has Radiant Floor Heating on the lower level and Geothermal Heating and Cooling throughout. The rooms are spacious with many windows that bring in natural light all day. NOTE: My other listing is a 5 star 2 person guest suite - (Tap on my profile twice to see). The suite has a queen size bed and is located just a few minutes from the Contemporary Cabin. It's a perfect add on if you have additional guests. Guests have access to a Washer and Dryer. Parking for four vehicles is next to cabin. Cabin is located at the end of a private gravel driveway. Make yourself at home. I provide a brief tour of the cabin when you arrive. I live on the nearby 70 acre parcel and am available by text or phone 24/7 for any questions or assistance. You will reside in a safe and quiet area in beautiful Syria, VA just five minutes from the Shenandoah National Park. The cabin sits in the middle of 30 acres with a mix of forest, meadows and horse pasture. You are 5 minutes from the Graves Mountain Market & Deli that has provisions and high speed wifi. Several Restaurants and a grocery store are located 20 minutes away in The Town of Madison. Distance to other attractions: White Oak Canyon Falls is 17 minutes. Old Rag Parking (Berry Hollow) is 18 minutes. Old Rag Parking (Nethers) is 25 minutes Rose River Trail is 5 minutes. Skyline Drive (Front Royal Entrance) is 60 minutes. Luray Caverns is 50 minutes. Culpeper is 35 minutes East. Sperryville is 30 minutes NE. Charlottesville is 50 minutes South. Washington, DC is 98 miles NE. You should have your own vehicle. We or our guests have never tried using Uber or Lyft in Madison, VA, so we ask that you please check before you book if that is something you will require. The Viasat WiFi is not high speed. Sending email and surfing is usually fine. You will not be able to download movies, watch videos or make a zoom call reliably. However, there is a market just five minutes from the house that has high speed wifi. That’s where we go to make zoom calls, watch videos or download large files and movies. Cell service is also a lot less reliable in the mountains but we do have a Telephone Land Line to make and receive calls - so please plan accordingly. IMPORTANT: Host is highly allergic to animal hair. Animals are not allowed please. IMPORTANT: We do not allow guests less than 5 years of age.
