Unwind on the back patio with friends and family under the hundred-year-old maple tree, after a long day out exploring the city, relaxing at the nearby beach, or hiking in the beautiful Cascade mountains. This home is perfect for a friend or family retreat, with lots of space to spend together or spread out. Enjoy sleeping in with all bedrooms upstairs. We built our home to function as the perfect space for families and entertaining. A spacious main floor with a large living room, huge kitchen and dining space, full guest bath and a TV/media room for sports viewing and movie nights (and can function as a 6th bedroom). Upstairs boasts five bedrooms and 2 baths. The Master bedroom has a natural rubber latex queen size bed, a master bath with a beautifully tiled walk-in shower and double vanity sink. Three bedrooms have twin size beds (one also has a crib). And the fifth bedroom has a full size bed. You have the benefit of a completely private home with full 24-hour access, free on-street parking, as well as a driveway. You have access to our 2 story home: all 5 bedrooms including empty closets in each bedroom for your belongings. Access to three bathrooms including two bathtub/showers and another walk-in shower in master. The only areas off limits are the home office (off master), owner closet, basement and attic. Owners are off site but available by messaging or email. Local contact person is available by phone in case of urgent situations. We also rent our backyard cottage over our garage on Airbnb, so you'll see those guests come and go during your stay. Since we've hosted hundreds of groups the last few years in our backyard cottage (never more then 3 people at a time), we've not had an incident--everyone is super chill and kind and we often don't even notice they're there. That said, please be respectful of the fact that you're sharing a property, especially when using the backyard. West Seattle is a sought-after neighborhood that is perfect for foodies, shoppers, families, and adventurers. The area has a small town feel and is surrounded by Puget Sound and flanked by the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges. Your home is very close to the Metro city bus lines (1-3 blocks) which provides easy access to hot spots like West Seattle’s own Alki Beach, a sandy Puget Sound beach with a walking/bike path, paddle boarding, canoes, and numerous eateries and coffeehouses, or beautifully wooded Lincoln Park with walking trails and huge native trees. Or zip downtown Seattle (15 minutes by car, 20 minutes by bus) to the take in the Waterfront, Pike Place Market, retail shopping, music venues, Seattle Center and the Space Needle, Washington State Convention Center, Starbucks headquarters, Seattle Art Museum and Pioneer Square art galleries, Safeco Field (baseball), CenturyLink Field (football), or a Washington State Ferry and much more. Light rail is also available to and from SeaTac airport with one bus transfer. Uber and Lyft are popular choices with our guests who choose not to rent a car. You can also access Car2Go in Seattle if you have a membership. Street parking is free for Car2Go anywhere in the city. We have plenty of street parking on our street for a vehicle or rental car. Now, we reside in Seattle, working to better our world through an international child relief organization and engineering for improved use energy efficiency of our natural resources.
