Welcome to the Lake Lodge! You're invited to this peaceful retreat among a canopy of trees. The home is a 3 minute walk to the lake (public side), with a private slip, HOA sitting area, & boat ramp. When you aren't admiring the lake views from the HOA dock, savor the forested yard with built in firepit, cozy hot tub, & high speed WIFI. After a long day of fishing, boating, or hiking, the home welcomes you with a stocked kitchen, outdoor grill, TVs in each room & a soaking tub. Relaxation awaits! The space Inviting and thoughtfully decorated house in the woods with spacious vaulted ceilings and lots of natural lighting. Great for the whole family to relax and create memories together. High speed XFinity WIFI is available throughout the house and the TVs are ready for you to log in to your own accounts on all the major program applications (Netflix, Disney+, Amazon Prime, etc). Other amenities include large deck with family dining table and other deck seating overlooking a large built-in firepit with 10 Adirondack chairs, 7 seater hot tub, separate picnic area and forested greens; private dock, community sitting area and boat ramp are a short 3 minute scenic walk. If needed, the house also has available kid friendly amenities, including a Pack n' Play, a high chair that attaches to a chair, kids' dishes/silverware, toys, board games, and books. Should you be bringing your work with you on this getaway, the first bedroom includes a queen bed and a dedicated workspace with a mounted monitor on the desk. The second bedroom includes a bunk bed with a queen bottom, twin on top, and twin trundle that pulls out from beneath the queen. The spacious master suite boasts vaulted ceilings, a queen bed, a twin day bed with a pop up trundle twin underneath that converts the day bed into a king size bed, a mini desk/vanity, walk-in closet as well as a private bathroom with standing shower and separate tub. House is lake access. We are not on the water, though we are a short walk away down a steep hill. We want to be clear so your expectations are right on - lake access, not lake front :) Recently added amenities (added after pictures were taken): -Hammock in backyard -Fairy doors on a few of the trees for the kids to discover -Black out curtains in all bedrooms -Giant Jenga game in living room -New patio furniture (couch, 2 large chairs, and table) Please note that landscapers visit the property weekly on Tuesdays. They have no need to interact or access the inside of the home. Thank you for your patience as they maintain your environment! Guest access Guest has access to entire property as well as community sitting area on the dock, private boat slip, boat ramp, and tandem kayak specified in the Welcome Book (Big Tuna Tandem Kayak is included- the other kayaks are private property of the neighbors and are not to be touched). Other things to note No pets on the property. No visiting pets. No overnight pets. Our cleaners remain adamant that no pet be on the property. Should any pet, even a pet that is not your pet, arrive onsite for any duration, then you agree to a $200 per pet per day fee for the duration of your stay. Short walk down steep hill to water and slip. From the perspective of not a particularly fit person, I can say you will likely be winded coming up the hill, though it should be an achievable climb for many. We invite you to contact us anytime with questions via the AirBnB platform. We ask that you reserve late night questions for urgent situations. We do not live on the property so you have the home to yourself for the duration of your stay. Lake Anna State park, which features hiking and a beach area with a playground, is within a 10 minute drive (5 mins to the park + 5 to the beach). $10 per car for entry + $5 per person beach fee. The house is conveniently located within 10 minutes of the local grocery store Food Lion, gas stations, and shops as well as the two main restaurants on the lake: The Cove and Tim's Lake Anna. Bring your boat, kayaks, SUP, and/or floats to launch from your slip. Note: the boat ramp is short. We recommend you put in at Hunter's Landing, a nearby public ramp, if you have a large boat. This is also the nearest waterfront gas station. Deck lights and fire pit lights are on separate WiFi timers and auto shutoff. Deck lights may be turned back on by pressing the blue button on the switch near the corner of the house that is enclosed by the deck. The house can accommodate 4 parked cars. House is on private road shared with four other homes, three of which are centered on the cul de sac at the end and one of which is on the opposite side behind a stand of trees. XFinity High Speed Internet is fully capable of streaming on multiple devices, supporting remote work, and a few instances of Netflix concurrently. The property has two cameras: one doorbell and one near the shed in the front of the house facing the driveway.. Tampering with, disabling, or obstructing these is strictly prohibited and cause for removal from the property / significant fees. The cameras are for liability reasons. They are not actively monitored, though they may be checked to verify compliance with rules (no pets) and when a neighbor places a noise complaint (generally after 9PM). Note: Guests use bunk beds, kayak, boat slip, boat ramp, firepit, and hot tub at their own risk. There is no life guard present. Keep in mind: Lake Anna has no food delivery options; similarly, no Uber or Lift services.
