Featuring a wonderful range of independent restaurants, takeouts and cafes, as well as a host of renowned museums and activity centres. The area itself is relatively quiet, however, on peak summer days you may want to make restaurant reservations ahead of time. Ironbridge itself is a delight to visit but also easily accessible within a half an hour drive are the historic towns of Shrewsbury, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Ludlow. The nearby Blists Hill Victorian Town is also a special place to visit and the River Severn offers many activities along its route. Telford town centre, around a 15 minute drive, offers a shopping mall, many restaurants, two cinemas, bowling, ice skating, and an award winning park which includes adventure golf, sky reach ropes, and fishing. Shropshire offers innumerable outdoor activities including, golf, horse-riding, water sports and bicycle tracks. It is a truly special walkers’ paradise.
