Last year, we were closed for a large part of the year to carry out a complete energetic renovation to an efficiency house. Villa Holgenbach is a lovely (family) house with fantastic views, lots of space both indoors and outdoors and equipped with every comfort. Located in the Eifel National Park and within walking distance of the center of Schleiden. Villa Holgenbach is a lovely vacation home and consists of two separate apartments (Penthouse Holgenbach on the top floor and Apartment Holgenbach on the ground floor). The apartments can be rented separately, but also jointly as a whole vacation home. This makes the villa particularly suitable for a large family, a holiday with 3 generations, 2 families, friends who want to enjoy all the activities and nature in the Eifel together, etc. Due to the 2 separate apartments, you can enjoy being away together, but there is also the possibility for privacy. The layout of the villa fits this perfectly. Because Penthouse Holgenbach is a lot more spacious, you can eat and relax there with the whole family or both families. There is room for everyone, plenty of dishes, an extra large refrigerator, and outside you can all eat at the large table and enjoy the beautiful view together! The villa is located in Schleiden, within walking distance of the city center, on a quiet street. The villa has a beautiful view and a perfect sunny location. There is free WiFi, Smart TV (including Chromecast, so watch everything you are used to watching at home by streaming from your phone/tablet or log in to the Netflix apps, etc.) and cable TV channels available. Free parking is available (including a garage). Schleiden is located in the beautiful Eifel National Park. You can cycle and walk directly from the Villa. Penthouse Holgenbach (top floor) has 2 bedrooms, a large living room (with large sofa bed), large cozy wood-burning stove and dining area, separate dining room and a fully equipped kitchen. Bathroom with bath tub and shower and separate toilet. It is a lovely spacious apartment. There is a large terrace of 75-100 m² with a fantastic view, several seating, dining and relaxing furniture, trampoline, BBQ and garage. Apartment Holgenbach (ground floor) has 2 bedrooms with double beds, a bathroom with bath and shower and toilet, a living room and a fully equipped dining kitchen. From the dining kitchen, there is direct access to the spacious balcony/terrace with dining table, relaxing chairs, BBQ and parking space next to the garage. On the outside of the garage, there is an 11KW charging station for electric cars. Guests can use this for a fee. Ask about the possibilities for charging. The bus stop is 500 meters away. The hiking trails start right at the house. The cul-de-sac street ends after about 300 meters in nature. The Eifelsteig, Wildernistrail and Rur-Olef routes run through the municipality of Schleiden. In Gemünd you will find the Tor National Park Eifel. On the site of the municipality of Schleiden, you can download various hiking routes with distances from 1.3 km to 23.1 km and cycling routes. The Erlebnisfreibad Dieffenbach swimming pool is within walking distance. There is a hospital, a number of general practitioners and dentists. There is plenty to discover and do in the area. A visit to Aachen, Cologne, Bonn, Koblenz, Trier and Maastricht are recommended. All cities can be reached within an hour to just over an hour by car. Or visit the wine regions of the Ahr Valley or the Moselle.
