Located in the town centre of Ringwood, close to Bournemouth and Salisbury and a host of nearby attractions, our space is great for a stay-cation, as a work-from-home alternative, or for a family break. The space "Stag Cottage" is a beautifully refurbished 2-bedroom railway cottage located in the heart of Ringwood, offering an ideal retreat on the edge of the New Forest. Since its 2021 renovation, the cottage has been thoughtfully updated to provide guests with exceptional comfort, style, and convenience. Perfect for families, couples, or dog walkers, Stag Cottage is your cozy home base for exploring both the New Forest and the nearby coast. Inside the Cottage Step into the bright and welcoming living space with a cozy Chesterfield sofa, a large 50" Smart TV with Netflix and Prime, and excellent WiFi to keep everyone entertained. Enjoy relaxing meals around the dining table for six, or snuggle up by the charming Charnwood wood burner—perfect for those crisp autumn and winter evenings. Guests have loved the well-appointed kitchen, featuring sleek German cabinetry, Bosch appliances, and all the cookware and essentials you might need, like oil, salt, pepper, and dishcloths, to make settling in as easy as possible. For pet owners and cyclists, the cottage offers a secure lean-to space, ideal for storing bikes or giving your furry friends their own spot. The private courtyard garden is a lovely space to enjoy a quiet drink after a day’s adventure, surrounded by a selection of shrubs and plants. Upstairs Comforts Upstairs, you’ll find two beautifully decorated double bedrooms, each with a king-size bed, high-quality linens, and towels, making it easy to unwind. For families, we provide a high chair and travel cot on request, a convenience much appreciated by past guests. The bathroom is a luxurious highlight, equipped with a double-end bath, a walk-in shower, and complimentary toiletries. Dog-Friendly and Ideal for Walkers Stag Cottage is perfectly positioned for exploring New Forest trails and nearby coastal paths. For early morning dog walks, guests have enjoyed a scenic circular route just a short walk away, offering paved footpaths and beautiful scenery. Please let us know if you’ll be bringing your dog, and we’ll have some towels ready for those muddy paws! Just keep in mind that dogs aren’t allowed on the furniture or beds. Guest access You will have the whole place to yourselves during your stay. Master Lock Key Safe Box has been fitted so you are welcome to self check-in at any time after 3pm, which minimises the person-to-person contact. The cottage comes with 2 off-street parking spaces. Other things to note There is a wood burner installed at the property and under no circumstances should the fire be left unattended for any period of time. Children should be supervised by adults at all times whilst in the close proximity of the wood burner.
