Fig Tree Farm B&B is set on 5.5 acres in Highvale and is located only 7 minutes from popular Samford village. Interact with friendly goats, sheep, ducks, cows, chickens and guinea pigs during your stay. A breakfast basket welcomes you on arrival and fresh bread is baked every night in the cottage. Collect your own eggs to cook daily from the coop. The cottage has 3 bedrooms, air-con, WIFI, twin heated outdoor baths, BBQ, firepit, king master bed and 2 bathrooms. Max 6, inc infants, in total. The space The cottage has outstanding mountain views, a private and fire pit area that is lit by fairy lights. The patio is perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of busy lives, while sitting and enjoying a wine or coffee and watching the animals in the paddocks. The cottage patio area is not overlooked by the main house so it feels very private. The entire cottage is fully air-conditioned, double glazed and is tastefully decorated. Two of the 3 bedrooms have mountain and paddock views as well as patio access. The master bedroom boasts an ensuite with a large shower, toilet and a king sized bed. The remain 2 bedrooms have a single and a king-single bed in each room. There is a family bathroom with a large walk in shower and toilet beside these bedrooms. There are a large variety of indoor and outdoor games available to keep children and adults alike entertained! These include a play kitchen, orbit tennis, cards, board games, car set, dinosaurs, a tea set, interactive activity books, children books and puzzles etc. To make the cottage even more accessible for people with mobility issues there is a ramp with a gentle incline to gain access to the cottage, with no stairs to navigate. We also offer a shower chair, a chair with extending legs and a removable toilet surround can be added if necessary. Contact us to discuss any special needs or requirements further. Guest access Guests can access all of the bottom section of the property including the private gardens around the cottage, goat/sheep paddocks, seasonal creek, orchard, mini golf green, firepit area, chicken coop and duck enclosure. Other things to note We have a new amazing outdoor bath experience where you can watch the sun set over the mountains from twin heated outdoor baths! Baths are strictly for 13+ for water safety and there is a limit of 1 dual bathing experience per day due to water restrictions. We offer hands on guided animal experiences each afternoon with the host. Just let me know if you would like this option! During this time you can enjoy bottle feeding a baby goat and hand feeding the guinea pigs. On arrival you are shown around the farm and how to interact with the animals so you can do this confidently yourself, for the subsequent days of your stay. Anytime throughout your stay you are welcome to visit the goats, sheep, chickens and ducks as many times as you like during the day. *Children must be strictly accompanied by adults in the paddocks. Collect your own chicken eggs daily to cook for breakfast and hand feed the chickens and ducks too! The entire cottage, and space around the cottage is exclusively for your booking in the boutique cottage accommodation. We do not offer bookings for day visitors to visit animals on the farm, so you can be assured that your holiday is private. Although of course the host will be looking after the animals, feeding and cleaning them out during the day! I love taking your group photos to capture those special memories - just ask if you see me out and about as photography is a hobby of mine! More info on inclusions- We include bed linen, towels, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, cutlery, pots, pans, crockery, tea, coffee, kettle, toaster, full oven, full fridge/freezer, induction cooktop and filtered tank water. We provide a travel cot and high chair free of charge. You are welcome to bring your own travel cot linen, or contact us if you would like to hire some. *The property does not welcome dogs as we have farm animals to care for. *Maximum of 6 guests, including infants, due to septic limitations. *No additional day visitors allowed on the property, or in the cottage for insurance purposes and septic limitations.
