Cozy NH Fall Cabin Getaway near Hiking w/ Firepit
Welcome to Crystal Lake's Little Bear Lodge with Kayaks, Firepit and Kid's Bunkhouse. Located 15 mins to Lake Winnipesaukee's Alton Bay, 20 mins to Mt Major, 25 mins to Gunstock Mountain. Enjoy all the Lakes Region has to offer - hiking, swimming, boating, fishing, skiing, shopping, attractions. This is our little hidden gem. Cozy up by the wood stove after a day of leaf peeping or enjoy cool nights by the firepit. During the fall and winter, our street is like your own private oasis! The space Leave the hustle and bustle behind. Drive down the dirt road to our clean, rustic cabin; nestled in the pines of a quintessential NH lakeside neighborhood. The cabin features: 🛏️ 2 Bedrooms 🚿 1 Bathroom 🛋️ Cozy living room with wood stove ☕ Small but well-equipped kitchen stocked with the essentials plus a coffee bar 🎲 Three-season porch for game nights 🎮 Nostalgic Bunkhouse with DVDs + Nintendo GameCube for the kids. There is plenty of seating and outdoor space: private deck, firepit with Adirondack chairs, outdoor shower, and peekaboo lake views. We have SHARED lake frontage 3–5-minute walk from the cabin. There is NO BEACH. It is a water access point for swimming / fishing / kayaking (2 included). Kayak carts (2) provided to help you walk kayaks to the water. Again, please note - there is NO BEACH or sitting area (see photos in the listing). That said, it is clean and not murky! A nice gradual incline for swimming. To play in the sand, head to the Town Beach < 1 mile away (see photos) or take a drive to many of the beautiful beaches along Lake Winnipesaukee. Alton Bay is a 15-minute drive. Irwin Marine has daily boat rentals and SUP-NH has paddle board rentals. Go a bit further (30 mins) to Wolfeboro or Laconia for tons of activities. Be sure to check out the Mount Washington Cruise which stops in Alton Bay and five other Ports around Lake Winnipesaukee. Or stay local, pack a lunch and head to the Gilmanton Town Beach. Perhaps after hiking Mount Major...Don’t feel like leaving the cabin? Grill on the BBQ, enjoy a cocktail or book on the peaceful deck, play yard games, watch the kids play in the bunkhouse, bring floats down to the shared water frontage. The vibe at the cabin is fun all on its own. Gunstock Mountain has lots of fun activities – Adventure Park, Ziplining, E-Bike Tours, Scenic Lift Rides, Off-Road Segway Tours, Mountain Coaster and more. Whether you head out to explore or relax at Little Bear Lodge, unwind after a fun-filled day by gathering around the fire with smores or partake in ole fashioned competition with a game night on the porch. FALL 🍂 is a great time for hiking and leaf peeping! During these months, this is a true RUSTIC New Hampshire cabin. There is electric heat for supplementation, but we encourage Guests to use the wood stove for efficiency. Wood is provided for you. The wood stove has a blower and does a fantastic job of heating the whole cabin. In fact, sometimes we have to crack windows once it gets going. Most of our neighbors are seasonal so during the Fall it's very quiet and weather is great for the firepit! You're secluded in your own little oasis. Please let us know in advance if you plan to bring a trailer. Other things to note If you are looking for complete seclusion, this may not be the best spot for you (unless its Fall or wintertime). The deck is private, but we have seasonal neighbors. See aerial photo for the property layout. In true cabin fashion, there is a small hot water tank. Enjoy a long lukewarm shower; or a short hot one. We love our pups but must be mindful of insurance and allergies. Pets are negotiable - please reach out if you’d like to bring your pet. $75.00 Pet Fee. Unauthorized overnight guests will be charged $200.00 per person. WAIVER & RELEASE of LIABILITY: The owners urge all guests to use the property’s features, facilities, and its grounds, including shared water access, in the safest manner. Use of all features, including but not limited to use of stairs, grounds, lofts, bunkbeds, decks, Kayaks, floats, and appliances are done at the guest’s sole risk. Guests understand that they are fully responsible for use of all features and owners shall not be liable to guest for any claims related to illnesses, demands, injuries, damages, or actions arising out of or in connection with misuse of facilities, natural events/disasters, or general accidents on facility grounds. Guests choosing to use the firepit agree to do so safely and in accordance with house rules. Guests who decide to use the shared waterfront understand there is an inherent danger around water. Guests understand owners are not to be held responsible for damaged or loss personal property. Guest hereby hold owners harmless from any/all claims brought against them. Guest understands that by booking a reservation they are effectively agreeing to the terms of this Waiver and Release of Liability.
