"Travel Back to Simple" 1910 Renovated Bunkhouse
Set on 2 acres out of 15 privately owned the bunkhouse will feel like yours. No wifi but great connection. Outdoor fire pit and indoor wood stove are sure to keep you entertained in both cold and warm weather. Newly added mini split will keep the chill off in winter and heat out in summer. Black bear, wild turkey, and deer are the only visitors you will have. Set atop a large waterfall the sound of the falls is audible throughout the property. The space The bunkhouse is a renovated 100 year old cabin. The floors have a few step up and step downs due to leveling. Master has a king sized bed with wonderful linens and its own faux wood stove with blower. It also has a closet with hangers and its own access to the shared bathroom. The other bedroom is on the other end of the cabin and has 2 twin beds with a sliding barn door to close off the room. Kitchen is fully furnished with everything you would need for your stay including coffee, cooking oil, sugar and hot chocolate. There is no microwave or toaster. The stove is a gas range. Bathroom has a Galvanized shower stall not really conducive to baths. A Rinnai water hot water on demand unit serves to meet your hot water needs. The main room has the Jotul wood stove and stacked wood beside it. Newly added mini split will deliver a constant heat source unless the power goes off in which a wood stove will serve as primary heat. The outdoor porch has a weber grill, 4 rocking chairs, and a bar that has 4 barstools. It also has the ability to keep dogs in with a locking gate. Guest access Once on the property the land is pretty level. There are steps with no handrails to get to the main porch. The 2 acres run with the driveway so I ask that you do not go up the hill behind the house or too far below the house as my other rental is at the base of the water fall. There is plenty of space to spread your legs. You may hear a car every now and then but it is usually the same car and they are few and far between. Other things to note I love to have well behaved dogs stay. If you do bring your dog I will request a $25 pet fee for each dog. I also ask you clean up after your pooch:)
