The lakefront is 58' of shoreline, with a rare sandy bottom. Dock installed for mooring a boat May-mid Oct. This is a fun two-level lakeshore cottage approx 30'x30' with an oversized 12'x15' treetop deck providing expansive views across Round Lake and into other Chain lakes. Features main floor lakeside window wall and oak board walls in the spacious cathedral ceiling dining/living area. King, Queen & Full beds. Lakeside: 2 single kayaks 1 tandem, 6'x8' sunning raft, corn hole game, & fire pit Much of the furniture of this home is vintage circa 1960s, 70s and early 80s, from the upstairs coffee table which is actually a vinyl record player to three sofas upstairs and an upright piano, fully functional, over 100 years old. Enjoy the unique furnishings as a trip into the retro past. The two bedrooms, one upstairs has the King bed, one downstairs has the queen-sized bed, the upstairs bed is a bit firmer, the downstairs bed a bit more plush. There is also a full size bed in the downstairs large rec room. The full size bed is great for the kids/teens/an adult. Home access is by a keypad (code given on check-in email.) Note: there are approximately 25 steps for the outdoor stairs from the house down to the lake, as the cottage is on a slope in the backyard. See property pictures. Getting around the neighborhood is an easy walk. One adult bicycle is also available, and one child's 10-speed. PARKING: It’s suggested to park under the Oak tree (to the left side of the cottage as you face the lake). If you choose to park directly in front of the cottage, the pine trees there drop sap which can be difficult to clean from car paint. We have one car cover available if you choose to park under the pines. The cover is found on the upstairs bedroom closet shelf. If you park to the left of the cottage, the Oaktree does not drop sap. If you use the car cover, please return it to the bedroom closet, bundled it back up for storage for a future guest. The host is mostly out of state but has opened her cottage while away. A local property manager, Mark, is available for any emergency need, and the host or Mark can answer questions that arise by phone/text. Quiet neighborhood, right on the waterfront. A sweet neighborhood to walk. Indian Crossing Casino and the Wheelhouse are less than 10 min walk, or take our bicycle and make it 3 min. :). Welcome to the Happy Swimmers Cottage! Repeat annual bookings are welcome. This is the second season this cottage is open for some vacation rental stays after many years of fun use by our family.
