Eagle Haven Parksville: your oceanfront retreat

Sip your latte on the private expansive deck overlooking the Strait of Georgia. Bask in nature’s tranquility, a retreat within the City of Parksville. We have counted 20+ eagles here in season (mid Sept to mid June). Deer amble by and graze leisurely on the various fruit trees during the summer. This renovated 2700 sq ft house pays homage to its Mid-Century Modern roots plus adds new flooring and updated/fully equipped kitchen & bathrooms. Six separate beds for your comfort. Memories await! The space Located on a cul-de-sac, we receive comments from guest after guest on how private and quiet of a space that this is. Truly a haven in the city. While the property is oceanfront, we are high-bank (50-75 feet above sea level) and there is limited direct access to the water below. A public beach access point with a series of stairs is a short 8 minute walk away, and the Parksville main community park and beach are seven minutes via car. *** As of August 2023, we have begun restoration of the trail that leads to the water, but it is a work in progress. Trip and fall hazards remain, and the trail is very slippery when wet. As such, the trail remains as a closed area. Use at your own risk. If you or any of your group have mobility/stability issues we recommend and request that you stay off of the trail. Do not use when wet. We cannot and do not accept any liability for your decision to set foot below the main grade of the property. *** Our home is well equipped with a newer (all are 2021) cooktop, two full-size refrigerators, and a Bosch dishwasher. For the barista in your group we provide a burr grinder & espresso maker. Play endless games of pool in the billiards room. Sleep soundly on newer (July 2021) mattresses - Haven LUX Hybrid Pillowtop queen (in the Primary and bedroom 1) - Stearns and Foster king (bedroom 2) - dual Haven LUX Rejuvenate queen beds (event room 2 optional setup) - Ikea day bed (in the kids' playroom) that converts from a single to a pull out double. City of Parksville current bylaws limit the number of guests that we can advertise to four. Guest access The whole house is yours - no shared spaces here :) For security, each booking is provided with a unique access code to the August smartlock. The stairs that lead up to the main deck are both wider and at a more gentle pitch than normal, allowing more easy access for folks with more limited mobility.
