This home is right on a 6.5 acre lake. It’s amazing here in the evening watching the stars or having coffee on one of the patios. The lake is stocked, we have caught some nice bass. This is a very relaxing and homey lake cottage, great for a family getaway or to gather with friends. This home is 35 minutes from downtown Saint Louis and all of its attractions. Please read the house rules!!! Check in is at 4 PM. Check out is at 11 am. Yes Guest can access the entire home and property. The master bedroom, and upstairs closet in the bedroom with queen bed closets are locked for storage, and garage are locked for storage. Paul prefers text or phone calls. Please leave a voicemail if he doesn’t answer. Meghan will also respond in any manner if Paul is not available. Please leave me a voicemail if we don't answer. We want to answer any questions prior to your stay, so you can enjoy your stay fully. As stated in the home rules no parties are allowed. Exceptions may be made for small get togethers, however there needs to be approval by Paul and Meghan. before your stay, we also need to be aware of who will be in the home. The approval for a small gathering needs to be documented on the air bnb messaging portal, in the event that any issues arise. This does not change the car rule, of only 3 cars in the driveway at all times. If a neighbor reports a disturbance to us , we will attempt to contact you directly . If we cannot reach you, Air Bnb will be contacted immediately for neighborhood support, as well as the Police Department depending on the report from the neighbors. Please ensure when you book that you report the amount of guests staying under your reservation, otherwise I will prompt you to adjust it before approving the request. it is not okay to have guests stop by without our knowledge or approval as well.Remember only 3 cars are allowed in the driveway at all times. Our neighbor rents the detached garage and mows our yard. It's very rare that he comes to the property, however just a piece of information. It’s a beautiful home on a private 5 acre lake and 3 acre lot, that is close to Downtown Saint Louis. We love this property however our commutes to work became too much, so we decided that others would enjoy our little piece of heaven. We spent a lot of time and money remodeling the home. When you walk in the entire back of the house is picture windows. This home is so beautiful and amazing, we hope you enjoy it as much as we do! This is a fairly rural area, a car is the best way to get around Fireworks are illegal in Illinois ( for guests visiting around the Fourth of July) Please take off your shoes before going upstairs, or ensure your shoes are clean. We are trying to maintain the carpet as long as possible to prevent additional costs. If you plan to BBQ you may want to ask if lighter fluid and charcoal are at the home. We try to provide this but may be overlooked at times. If you plan on fishing please bring your own gear at this time. We plan on providing this for guests in the future. We request catch and release. There is a stroller, play pin, and high chair available for guests with young children. Please let us know if you will be needing these items so we can ensure they are not locked in storage. The laundry room is open for your use. Laundry cleaning products are available above the washer and dryer. Walmart, Walgreens, and schnucks are only a few miles from the home. We are working on a binder in order to provide our guests with more information. Please leave any bed slept in, unmade at your departure so we are aware that it needs to be cleaned and sanitized. We encourage our guests to start a load of laundry with your dirty towels, and request that you start the dishwasher prior to your departure.
