We've also added a very spacious Saluda City View Rooftop Terrace where you can enjoy your favorite beverages with a wonderful view overlooking the City of Saluda and the railroad tracks that is the steepest grade on the Eastern Seaboard. There's also a gas firepit up top as well as a rolling Ice chest and Weber gas grille. Just walk out your front door and step back in time in this historic town. Have breakfast or lunch at the Wakey Monkey or Wildflour Bakery , have dinner at one of the many restaurants in town or take a short ride to Tryon, Hendersonville or Asheville and many other charming towns. Choose from plenty of activities including kayaking down the Green River, Ziplining down the Gorge, hiking or cycling some of the most scenic roads you'll find anywhere. If you are a cyclist just keep your bikes and cycling gear on the deck and head out to some of the best cycling in Western North Carolina. The Hotel Domestique 17 is located just 15 miles down the beautiful Greenville Watershed Road. Inspired by world famous cyclist George Hincapie this is a great place to ride to take a break and head back up the watershed to Saluda.
