Location is perfect, a quiet family suburb very central on the Gold Coast but a step back from Surfers Paradise, giving you plenty of convenience but a bit more peace. We are walking distance to the trendy Ferry Road markets, Southport park shopping centre 2 minutes drive away, it is so central for everything on the Gold Coast and for sure the most convenient location. The Cottage is cute in a pretty garden setting, our guests have commented that it's like having your own little "resort", with a private pool (an old pool but perfectly refreshing) and the covered Alfresco patio with dining and lounge area. Inside the cottage has an open plan living area, entrance and dining, with a great new kitchen, overlooking the pool and garden. The bedrooms are generous despite this being a cottage. It has an old fashioned laundry with modern appliances. Main bathroom with a shower and loo, plus a beautifully decorated separate guest loo. The back door leads to a solid fenced area giving you access to the washing line. It's a traditionally themed original Queenslander Home with a few original features, and plenty of updates everywhere, neat and exceptionally clean, with lots of quirky cuteness thrown in. It looks like it’s an original beach cottage, although the Beach a short drive away, plus closer by is the widest part of the Nerang river with a beach and park just 2.4 km drive or walk away and 2 Dog friendly parks are even closer. Plenty of local dining options and new organic market and cafe, general shopping are a short drive away, plus elite dining and a variety of specialist shops 2 minutes away as is the best Gelato, Juice Bar and Coffee. Wifi is available it is NBN, and smart tv. The Cottage is so well equipped you will love the convenience this will add to your stay. The garden is fully fenced (recently) with a gated driveway with off street parking, ensuring your pets can come and stay too! Surfers Paradise is on your doorstep if you need to go that way, but you are far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet that this special cottage has to offer. Bedroom 1 and 2 are Queen sized bedrooms with really comfy newer beds, the beds are average firmness, not soft and not hard. 3rd Bedroom has a 2 new single beds, from ikea very much kids style, these are only suitable for kids 10 and under, both have mattress toppers. Although the cottage can sleep 6 under some circumstances. It is ideal for 4 people. The best combo is 2 couples, and up to 2 children, we don’t like to overcrowd it so please be specific in your booking please. Wifi, DVD Player with plenty of DVD’s, Board games, washing machine, tumble dyer, air conditioning/heating, Fans and ceiling fans, Dishwasher. All Linen and Towels Supplied, Well equipped Kitchen, New Coffee Pod machine, Barbeque, Cool box and some picnic supplies, family friendly, with plenty of extras are included. If you are holidaying with your Fur Kidz the cottage is friendly for all Pets. We do have house rules, most understand why, as you can see by our feedback we have guests without pets and it is important that we reinstate the cottage to a “bond clean” 5 star cleaning standard for all of our guests. If you want us to consider your pets, you will need to agree to cleaning up after shedding dogs. Agree to our pet rules, and ensure your Pet is not a nuisance to our neighbors. When you leave you will need to clean up after your pets thoroughly. If not don’t complain about extra charges. Please ask prior to booking with pets and let us know more about your pet. That doesn't mean we compare with 5 star Versace but then neither does our price ! Gotta keep it in perspective. Your failure to notify us may negate, reduce or extinguish any claim you may have, it may also impact on our ability to prepare the house for incoming guests which could result in extra costs. If for any reason you vacate the premises earlier than planned, advise the owner/manager so we can secure our premises, this is a condition of your booking.
