The Red House, 1910’s Two-Story Beltline Townhome

Relax at The Red House, our light filled two-story duplex in burgeoning Reynoldstown! We're a 15 minute drive from the airport and 10 minutes from downtown, a block from the Beltline, and a short walk to great coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. Both large bedrooms have king-sized beds and tons of natural light (plus blackout curtains!). We keep our lovingly restored old home meticulously clean with everything you need for a comfortable stay. We have carefully and thoughtfully renovated the home to highlight its unique character and create a supremely comfortable and relaxing space. Years of plaster and paint have been removed from the walls to reveal the original heart pine planking underneath, giving the space a warm, cozy cabin vibe. The south facing windows bring in tons of natural light and give the space an open airy feel, while the antique stained glass in the foyer add a magical quality. We have a love for quality mid-century furniture and art, and we have imbued the space with that aesthetic. There are nine-foot ceilings throughout the 1,050 square foot space. On the first floor are the foyer, large dine-in kitchen, living room, and a half bath. Two large bedrooms with king-sized beds and the master bath are located on the second floor. Enjoy fast WiFi and a smart TV with Netflix, HBO, Hulu, Amazon Prime and digital broadcast. We provide extra towels, blankets and pillows for you as well as an iron and ironing board, basic kitchen essentials including filtered water, fair trade coffee and tea, salt, pepper, oil and vinegar. All of our linens are made out of natural fibers, either cotton or linen. We always wash our towels and bed linens in unscented laundry soap. And we always provide organic hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, conditioner and body wash. If you’ve forgotten any other essentials, there is a Publix just a few blocks away! Please note, this home is part of a duplex with one shared center wall. We are generally very quiet on our side but some sounds do travel, so please let us know if noise is a problem. HOUSE RULES: Please read our house rules thoroughly PRIOR to booking. Be aware, that this listing is part of a duplex and we live just on the other side. Treat our home with respect at all times and leave it as you found it- neat and orderly. *Do not use this home as a photo studio or location for videos. *No parties or events of any kind. *Maximum occupancy is four adults. *Your reservation is limited to the number of guests stated in your booking. If there are undisclosed guests or guests that exceed our maximum occupancy, the reservation will be terminated immediately and no refund given. *Guests may not operate a business or use our space for their own personal financial gain in any way. For example: You may not use our listing as a makeup/hair studio where your personal clients will meet you. *No third party bookings. *No loud music. *No weapons. *No smoking or vaping is allowed on property. *No burning of candles, incense, etc. (nothing with an open flame). *No food upstairs. *Do not move any furniture. *Do not wear high heeled shoes on the inside stairs (it's very loud). *White linens may not be used for makeup removal (use the grey washcloths provided) or to clean up spills/messes. *We cannot accommodate early check-in’s or late check-out’s. We are often booked back-to-back and need all allotted time to clean and prepare for our next guests. Thank you for understanding. *We cannot accommodate early luggage drop-off. *Check-in: 4pm. *Check-out: 11am. *Observe quiet hours after 11pm, especially on our outdoor patio. Guest access Guests have access via keyless entry. The right side of duplex (818) and it's cozy patio (with one cute glider) are yours to enjoy! The left side of the duplex and it's accompanying yard and garden are private and not available for guests to use. Other things to note There is a Nest security camera above the front door. It captures the front stoop and sidewalk area. The front door has a few stairs and both bedrooms are located on the second floor. Please note, this home does not have a dishwasher or a washer and dryer. While there is not a designated parking space, there is typically plenty of on-street parking right out front. Just be sure to park your car in the right direction as the city tickets cars parked facing the wrong way.
