The space Coral Palms Beach House is absolute beachfront with a gorgeous white sandy beach leading into the Caribbean. It is located on a calm, shallow bay perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking. Lounge in the hammock under the palm trees or walk out on the pier to look for resident dolphins and manatees or watch magnificent sunrises over the ocean. This two-story house is air conditioned, has complimentary WiFi, and perfect for almost any kind of traveler. The second story features open-concept living with a well-appointed galley kitchen, comfortable living room, spacious bedroom with a super comfortable KING-sized bed, and bathroom with a tiled shower. The living room also has a smart TV and high quality queen-sized memory foam sleeper sofa, perfect for extra guests or kids. The chef’s kitchen is fully stocked with every amenity you could need to make a wonderful meal. While some vacation rentals only supply cookware essentials, here, you will have all the comforts of home right at your fingertips. Every reservation also includes full access to the oceanfront ground floor studio, ideal for a second couple, teenagers, extended family, or anyone that would benefit from a little extra privacy. It has a separate entrance and contains the same luxurious amenities as the top level including a living area, full kitchen, queen-sized bed, queen-sized sleeper sofa, air conditioning, smart TV, and separate bathroom with a tiled shower. The house includes snorkel gear and beach towels for enjoying the sea, as well as books, cards, and family games in case of a daytime rain shower. The outdoor space is even better! In addition to the beach, you will love the dock with its over-the-water thatch roof palapa, complete with lounge chairs and cozy hammocks. There is also a tiled balcony overlooking the ocean and a pavered patio on the beach, perfect for morning coffee. Later in the day, fire up the gas grill to cook up the catch of the day. At night, soak up the ambience from the waterside fire pit with plenty of chairs set out for stargazing. Coral Palms Beach House is only minutes to downtown restaurants and shopping with use of the FREE GOLF CART available for our guests. Golf cart: We perform regular maintenence on the golf cart to help ensure it is available during your stay. Occasionally, the unexpected occurs, and it may be unavailable. Please understand that the golf cart is provided as a complimentary amenity for our guests but is not guaranteed. Hurricane season in the Caribbean runs June through November. While Belize typically experiences great weather year around and rarely encounters hurricanes, we still recommend travel insurance during this time, just in case. Electricity: Belize gets all its power from the grid in Mexico. Because it has so far to travel, power interruptions can sometimes occur. Updates are not always provided by the power company, especially after hours or during weekends. Tropics: Life in the tropics comes with all sorts of wildlife! While we do our best to encourage nature to stay outside, it’s a little harder in the tropics, and insects and geckos may come in through open doors or windows. Like us, they are attracted to the AC. Tropical birds, agouti, iguanas, coatimundi, and raccoons are all regular (outside) visitors. Watch the water for dolphins, manatees, rays, and turtles! Transportation: We strongly recommend having a rental car to be able to take advantage of all the amazing things there are to see and do in Belize. Driving in Belize is safe, and the roads and highways are well-maintained with good signage and infrastructure. Belize also drives on the same side of the road as the US and Canada. From the airport in Belize City, the drive is about 2 hours via the brand new Coastal Highway. The best car rental agency is Crystal at the airport in Belize City. Make sure to reserve your rental car ahead of time. Seaweed: Some years we don't experience any seaweed, but it is unpredictable as it changes with the water currents, weather, and tides. It is possible for it to come in one day and be gone the next. Other times it can stick around until the weather pattern or tide changes. During times when it is present, our crew comes twice a week to rake and remove any seaweed that has washed up on the beach. If you are coming during the spring or summer and are concerned about it being present, please contact us about booking our other waterfront accommodations that are guaranteed to be sargassum free.
