Nestled in a cozy, secluded area, you'll enjoy the peace and serenity of a charming cabin getaway. Surrounded by a forest, you are fully immersed in nature with mountain views peaking through the trees. Deer and other wildlife commonly visit the grounds. The home itself has lots of natural light and all the amenities needed to let you unwind. You can also enjoy a hot tub, pool table and arcade basketball for even more fun with friends and family. This newly constructed cabin has all the modern amenities you'd expect. As you step through the door on arrival, you're greeted by a spacious living room area with lots of natural light, with plenty of room for everyone to gather. One of the sofa's pulls out to a double bed if extra sleeping arrangements are needed. The spacious kitchen has new appliances and a large center island, well-stocked with everything you need for home-cooked meals. Immediately adjacent to the kitchen is a large dining room table. The master bedroom is located off the kitchen, facing the backyard and side of the property. Here you can wake up to peaceful views of the forest. There's also a bathroom with a spacious walk-in shower across the hall. Upstairs in the cozy loft are two twin beds and a futon couch. You can also enjoy arcade basketball throughout your stay. Downstairs, you'll find a pool table for endless games with friends and family. An extra bedroom and bathroom downstairs is located down the hallway. At the end of the hallway is the washer and dryer. Located outside off the pool table room is the hot tub. The home is surrounded on two sides by a deck so you can fully enjoy the scenic landscape and wildlife. Custom adirondack chairs, a outdoor table set and grill offer you more ways to take in all of nature. Just ten minutes away is downtown Woodland Park, filled with quaint stores and restaurants. In the nearby mountain ranges you'll find many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors through hiking, winter sports, scenic drives and more. There is no air conditioner in our cabin, which is common for the area. Typically, the weather is pleasant even in the summer months with cool breezes. There are fans upstairs in the loft, main living area and bedrooms to ensure the home is cooled to your liking. Our cabin is located off of U.S. Route 24. After you turn off the highway down Trout Creek Road you'll traverse ~1.5 miles of unpaved, winding roads that go uphill. As a result, especially during winter months, it is required to have a 4WD vehicle when traveling to the home. The unpaved driveway has parking for 2-3 vehicles. If you need additional space for vehicles, there is free overflow parking 3/4 mile from the home at the bottom of the hill. There is not street parking available as the private neighborhood drive should be kept clear. Areas outside the immediate vicinity of the cabin are private property, so please do not go exploring the woods as it's easy to mistakenly trespass. The general area offers many publicly accessible opportunities to hike near Pikes Peak, Woodland Park, Green Mountain Falls, Cascade and Colorado Springs. We are available throughout your stay. Downtown Woodland Park is just ten minutes away on U.S. Route 24. Charming coffee places, restaurants and quaint shops are all centrally located in the small town. A bit closer to Colorado Springs is scenic Manitou Springs and historic Old Colorado City. The city of Colorado Springs is ~25 minutes from the cabin. The Air Force Academy is ~45 minutes away. Breckenridge is closer to 1.5 hours from the cabin. Please save these directions offline prior to traveling in case cell phone service is lost in the mountains. You may see deer, elk, bear, coyotes, bugs and more. While it's beautiful scenery, please keep your distance from any animals you encounter. Colorado weather can range significantly. While often lovely, the area is prone to harsher weather with storms and wind, and can receive heavy snowfall during winter months. Cell phone reception in the area varies by carrier. The cabin wifi signal is strong and can accommodate house guests and streaming devices. Pets are prohibited at this property due to the general lack of outdoor safety given the area's wildlife. Bear-proof trash bins are located near the driveway for your convenience. For safety purposes, please ensure all trash is put in the bins and properly secured. Trash left outside will be accessed by wildlife, and may cause damage or spread debris as a result. No smoking or vaping indoors (please clean up debris if smoking outdoors and use extra precaution due to forest fires).
