The space This apartment is very popular for short or long term stays (1-6 months) and cheaper rates can be arranged ahead of time depending on the duration. We are set up to host guests who are looking for term stays without needing to sing a 12-month lease. Everything you need is there: bedding, towels, kitchen utensils, amenities, parking, etc. The space was newly renovated a few years ago, with the kitchen added in January 2021. The space is well-maintained and impeccably clean with insulated walls so it stays warm and dry all season long. The hosts pride themselves on creating a beautiful, cozy place where guests can relax, and have a good night's sleep for however long their stay is. The apartment is smaller than most full-sized apartments, but much bigger than a hotel room and offers more amenities like a full kitchen, laundry machines, and a separate living room space from the bedroom with a pull-out couch. Plus, your parking spot is right outside your door! Note, in some areas the ceiling height is low, but nothing under six-feet, and low spots are only where the duct work is. Otherwise ceiling height is full and comfortable for anyone under 7-feet. Please also note that the queen-sized bed is against the wall on one side, and has only one night stand. Perfect for students or professionals looking for short or long term stays, those new to the area, or in between apartments. It's a place where you can rest, cook meals, do laundry, and is comparatively much cheaper than a hotel room. It's also great for shorter stays for people visiting friends and family, attending events, date nights, or just staying in to "Netflix and chill". This apartment is in a great neighbourhood, while also being close to all the action of downtown Kitchener and uptown Waterloo. Guest access The private entrance leads to the fully furnished and completely separate basement apartment. You have the place to yourself. Perfect for young professionals, mature students, or ppl coming to live in KW looking for a place to start. The main floor and upstairs is off limits to guests, as well as the garage and backyard area as the homeowners live in the main floor of the house. There are no shared spaces except for the driveway. Guests are allowed to smoke outside of the entrance to the apartment or anywhere in the driveway area. There is a small white container for cigarette butts. Other things to note Long term stays can be arranged outside of the calendar, just message me to see what we can offer. Pricing is much more affordable this way. We are cleaning and disinfecting all areas thoroughly between guests. This is a basement space so in some areas the ceilings are low where vents are, but main clearance is 7+ feet so most people (unless over 7ft!) can walk around comfortably. Since the homeowner lives upstairs there may be some sound transfer at times but homeowner is quiet, and lives alone with two cats. She respects the guests' privacy, and expects the same in return. There have been no problems in 7 years regarding noise and sound.
