Separate from the main house and enjoying plenty of privacy and amenities, a stay includes breakfast at the Oak Street Inn. The Barn features oak hardwood floors and live edge accents. The well-equipped kitchen, full bathroom and laundry room make this property great for a quick retreat or longer stay. There is a king size bed with adjustable base, living room area and new deck with fire pit. There is room in the downstairs laundry room for a couple of bikes or to hang waders and a water hose for bike wash. It's a great base for your adventures! Pet friendly with a fee. Walk through a nice neighborhood to downtown or around the corner to Brevard College and the closest coffee shop on campus. Enjoy the Saturday Farmer's Market just a short walk away. A stroll around town will offer several art galleries including local photographers, potters and wood workers. Also, for your dining experience there is a wide range of atmospheres and flavors from Cup and Saucer coffee shop with great food and coffee to full-service dining at Falls Landing, The Blind Mule and Quixote just to name a few or the varied food options in town. Guests have access to the upstairs studio apartment, deck and patio. The downstairs of the Barn is used for storage of extra furniture and is locked up. Breakfast at the Oak Street Inn is included with a stay at the Barn Studio. Guest can come to the main house between 8 and 9:30. Also, we can offer lots of information about the local area with travel guides and maps. We are available if guests need assistance with anything during their stay. I love the quiet tucked away feeling of the Barn yet there's a coffee shop just down French Broad Avenue, and downtown is a pleasant stroll through this sweet neighborhood. You can walk to shops and restaurants downtown but you'll need a car to explore the surrounding area or a bike might do if you're super fit as you can ride down the bike path to Pisgah or head up and over Bracken Preserve.
