Description

Providing flexible self-catered accommodation in the Tweed Valley. Located at the foot of Glentress, just 1.5 miles outside Peebles, the Trail House sleeps up to 10 in 5 bedrooms. The main house offers spacious and comfortable accommodation for small to large groups. Zip and link beds in all bedrooms which can be set up as 5 doubles or 10 singles, or combinations of both. The space Having managed Ski Chalets in the French Alps for 5 years we wanted to bring together the elements we think make a really good rental property. Comfy beds, large flexible and social living space, equipped kitchen and sports/activity related storage/facilities. (The Trail House has secure bike storage facilities and bike wash.) 2 minute cycle from the Glentress area. Whether you are here to mountain bike around Glentress and the surrounding trails, cycle on the quiet country roads, fish on the River Tweed, golf, walk, go trail running, tackle the tree tops at GoApe, attend a wedding, shop, eat out or just relax in the house, The Trail House is a perfect base for your time in this stunning valley. If you would like to book both The Trail House and Wee Trail House for up to 14 guests please let us know on enquiry. Happy to accept house trained dogs provided owners clean up any extra doggie mess e.g. hair & mud and don't let them on the soft furnishings. Please note we have some higher minimum night stays over peak periods, e.g. Christmas and New Year. Guest access Access to the full house + shared garage for bike storage. Other things to note The Trail House and Wee House share the courtyard as well as parking. The houses are part of a small grouping of buildings, all traditional converted barns/steadings and cottages. The Trail House was historically the Stables building before it was converted and extended. We have an enclosed ‘courtyard’ at the front of the house. During Spring, Summer and Autumn months there are picnic tables and a BBQ. Please note that this is a shared space between the Trail House & Wee House, each have their own patio and tables but it is a social space for both and you may be sharing it with the guests from the other house. If this doesn’t sound like something you’d be comfortable with it may not suit your group. PLEASE NOTE: The houses are in a quiet residential area, they are not suitable for those looking for a house to throw a party which includes late night noise. Log Fire: We supply logs during the winter months only. For environmental reasons we don't supply these for the rest of the year.
