Casa Ritegno - Don’t panic, it’s organic (farm)

A break from the chaos? This old farmhouse in the Sicilian countryside might be a good option. Part of an ancient farm of the early 1800s and currently at the center of a modern organic farm, like living in another era but with wifi. You will recharge your batteries in a few days, for sure! The space The farmhouse is built in the traditional way, with thick stone walls and wooden roof. What an insulation! Take a nap, without the annoying buzz of the air conditioner or fan. And what a relief from the heat, sitting on the terrace in the evening lounging by a pleasant sea breeze and accompanied by the cicadas chant. And in winter? A cute fireplace will warm up your evenings! The house will be only for you, no other guest, since we live in the city. The garden is at your disposal for a 0 Km snack: oranges, mandarins, tangerines, figs, prickly pear, loquat, apricots, pomegranate. Are they in the season? Or spice up your meals with aromatic plants and lemons. The breakfast has to be taken in the terrace accompanied by the bird songs, of course, and barbecue (you have all the necessary) done under the starry sky (you will see them for real). Fancy a walk or a bike ride? The countryside is waiting for you with its olive groves, carobs, vineyards and wheat fields ... but no pesticides and watch out for insects. It's a bit rustic indeed, but you got everything you need: fridge, washing machine, equipped kitchen...hot water. We provide sheets and towels. And if you want a selfie of you making pizza, we also have a traditional stone oven. Guest access A country road drives you off from the main road through the fields. In front of the house, there is ample parking space, even for several cars. Other things to note The garden is surrounded by high walls, there is also a closed inner courtyard. Your pets will love it ... but too dry for the crocodiles! Let the children play in the football pitch, safe and hassle-free! We have just installed a new Wi-max antenna, so have unlimited internet and freedom of movement. Oh I almost forgot ... there is the possibility of buying organic olive oil produced in a traditional way at 0 Km in bottles or cans of 5 l, cherry tomato sauce in bottles of 1 l and soon even organic wine.
