A genuine NZ farm stay on a working sheep farm in the panoramic Lake Coleridge high country just 100kms west of Christchurch city. The Quarters sleep 8 in the main building and an additional 4 persons in 2 adjoining cabins. Beds are illustrated as Queens (in fact super-kings) but all rooms can be split to twin shares. Exclusive use to each group booking. Preference is given to larger groups at weekends. The space A perfect alpine getaway for families and groups wanting to experience farm life and the panoramic Lake Coleridge region only 100kms from CHCH city. The Quarters are also ideal for guided tour groups wishing to have overnight accommodation after a Middle Rock farm tour. The Shearers' Quarters consist of a main building and 2 exterior cabins. Inside the main building, each of the 4 bedrooms can be made up as doubles (superking) or as twin beds. There is one en suite bedroom with two other bathrooms shared between 3 bedrooms. Full laundry facilities and a BBQ available. Also a portacot and high chair for infants. A sofa bed in the living area can sleep an additional 2 people. The cabins are bedrooms only. Winter warmth is a feature! The property is fully heat insulated with a large log fire in the living area, ducted heating throughout the main building and standalone heating in each bedroom. Outside there is a large lawn area and plenty of room for car parking. Groups booking the complex have exclusive use and will not have to share the facility with any other guests. Linen is included with this booking. Guest access A working sheep farm with an abundance of farm tracks suitable for walking and biking. Handy to Mt Hutt, Mt Olympus and Porter Heights ski fields, the Opuke Hot Pools (Methven) and the Mt Hutt bike park. Lake Coleridge and the Rakaia River close by for fishing and boating activities.
