Chalet in Killington

Located off East Mountain Road, on a secluded dead end street, just minutes from your choice of the Killington base lodges. There is access to a ski/hiking trail at the end of our street (1/2 mile from the house), and we're surrounded by hiking and biking trails. The house is great for large groups and families, as there are 2 separate living areas (kids like to hang out in the lower family room with large screen TV and games). Very strong and fast internet. Now with AC for summer getaways! The space You can walk to the ski trail at the end of our street to avoid parking, but we do not consider this property 'ski in, ski out.' You enter the house on the second level, coming first into the slate tiled mud room with bench seating, wood cubbies and plenty of storage for skis, boards, boots and more! The main floor includes a well-equipped renovated kitchen, living room with cathedral ceilings ( skylight & flat screen TV), dining area, two bedrooms and a full bathroom. There is a large deck off this level with a patio table for 6+ to enjoy a meal outside in the gorgeous warm weather nights and a new hot tub perfect for groups. Take stairs to the upper level and you'll find two more bedrooms, a full bathroom, and loft that is filled with natural light...a perfect place to cozy up with a book. There's a futon here (full size) that can sleep two if you're bringing a big group. Go down to the lower level and you'll find a large family room with two full size sofas (one is a queen pull-out sleeper), a bumper pool table and 55" flat screen TV, foosball table, plenty of family board games, laundry room with full size washer/dryer, a bedroom, shower and our large SAUNA....ahhh come relax! This is definitely not your average rental property. Fine touches throughout such as memory foam mattress toppers, high end Ralph Lauren leather couches, Pottery Barn furniture and accessories, quality bedding, decorative rugs, etc...make this our home that we share with our renters. There are three levels of living space which makes it an ideal place for families. Upper Level: Bedroom 1 - King, Bedroom 2 - Two twins, Loft - Full size futon Main Level: Bedroom 3 - Queen, Bedroom 4 - Queen Lower Level: Bedroom 5 - Two sets of bunks (4 twins), Lower Family Room - Queen sleeper sofa While our house is great for large groups, it is not a party house. Please look elsewhere if you are trying to find a secluded place to be loud and rowdy - we have neighbors, and if they complain about you we will cut your stay short. Split heating and air conditioning in the living room and 4 main bedrooms. The basement is always cool, even in the summer. Baseboard heat available in addition to split. Guest access You can use all the amenities the house has to offer. Other things to note If you'd like more than one towel, bring the extra. Linens and one towel per guest are provided. Do not bring or use your own toilet paper! The mountain septic system cannot handle it. We provide septic-friendly toilet paper for you and it is the only kind that can go in the toilets. We are in a mountain setting surrounded by nature, but that does not mean you can break the "no parties" rule. We have neighbors with children; being so loud as to disturb them after 10pm may result in you being reported to Airbnb for breaking listing rules. THIS IS NOT A PARTY HOUSE. You are allowed one garbage bag per day of your stay. Over that, there is a $5 fee per bag for disposal (the town charges for disposal). Please do not bring large bags or contractor bags to try to maximize free trash disposal; only regular kitchen-size bags can be used. You can also avoid extra charges by bringing your trash home with you. You are welcome to use the grill. Please clean it and cover it after use. We strongly encourage guests to replace the propane that they use at the house, but we can't guarantee that the guests before you did so (to be absolutely sure to have everything you want, you can bring your own). We’re on a ski mountain. There are steep roads and, in the winter, there is snow. Please make sure you bring a vehicle that is appropriate for road conditions. Snow tires are strongly encouraged. We are not responsible for damage or other issues associated with insufficient vehicle tires or capabilities. Registration Details 000024
