Description

Thirlestane Farm is a quintessential farm workers cottage renovated to an exceptionally high standard with an adjoining newly built Barn set in 28 acres of peaceful rolling hills, close to the township of Cooroy & only 20 mins from the stunning beaches of Noosa Shire. Sleeping up to 8 guests, these two properties are ideal for families or close friends to escape to the country to just relax & enjoy both the serenity of the farm but also enjoy the many activities that the Noosa Hinterland offers. The space No-one arrives at the farm and is not stunned by the views and atmosphere of the cottage and barn set amidst the surrounding countryside. It truly is a magical place with all the comforts of a family home, decorated and cared for by us as our own holiday home-so we haven't compromised on the quality or facilities of something we use ourselves occasionally to escape the hustle and bustle of our daily city lives. From the minute you open the doors, the properties have the uncanny ability to just wash away the week. Deep baths, beautiful fires, quality beds and fresh cotton sheets just makes for such a comfortable welcome break. Not to mention a good bottle of red or two and some close friends to share it with. Guest access Our guests are welcome to wander throughout the 28 acre property to their hearts content, but of course it is a farm with timid cows and the usual creepy crawlies you find when walking on a farm so we tend to use closed in shoes and long trousers if we wander down to the dam. However, I must admit, we never wander far from the outside fire pit, the boules pitch or the BBQ and fridge. Someone else comes in to look after the cows...... Other things to note We unfortunately must stress that the cottage and barn are NOT party houses. Due to recent complaints from our neighbours (Which are over 500m away!) -we CAN and WILL be shut down by Noosa council if they receive further noise complaints-so we must ask that you treat our holiday homes as a place to relax, unwind, spend quality time with each other and be respectful of the fact that noise does carry extensively in the quietness of the countryside. Equally, the cottage and barn are insured for only 8 guests so we must insist that additional friends or guests find alternative accommodation if required. We sound like real spoil sports we know, but we hope you would help us to be able to continue as a place to escape for future guests by adhering and respecting those two simple requests. Many thanks Tee & Stephen
