Nestled into the hillside, Betsea Cottage will delight you with sweeping ocean and island views. Only a 5 minute stroll to the beach to swim, fish and explore the rugged, beautiful coastline. All linen is provided so you can relax as soon as you arrive. This is a lovely, homely seaside cottage and your family is sure to have a wonderful holiday here. The space Betsea Cottage is a bit more upmarket from a simple shack – there are two bathrooms and three toilets! Bedroom One has views of the ocean and an en-suite with a shower and toilet. The main bathroom has a good-sized bath/shower combo with toilet and vanity basin. The third toilet is located downstairs near the washing machine in the laundry. Guest access The kitchen is very-well equipped all crockery, pots, pans and baking trays. The kitchen table seats eight people and there is a booster seat and high-chair available, too. Rain Water is plumbed into the kitchen and three other taps in the cottage and is best to use for drinking. The supplied Windy Harbour scheme water is OK but better for washing, cleaning, showering etc. Other things to note Both Bedroom One and Two have comfortable a queen-size beds and Bedroom Three has two sets of single bunk beds and sleeps four people. The bunks are very safe with railing around the upper two beds. Each bedroom has plenty of room for your clothes and suitcases. All linen (except beach towels) is supplied. This includes sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels, bathmats, face-washers, tea-towels and handtowels. If you wish to bring your own bed linen, there will be $10 reduction for each bed. Windy Harbour is fully off-grid with no mains power to the settlement, but fortunately, Betsea Cottage has an excellent, new solar power system and also gas hot water storage and a gas stove and heater. It is very important to be conscious of the solar power and minimise the use of power hungry devices. There is sufficient power to run the fridge, lights, charge your phone etc. but heating appliances such as hairdryers, straighteners, irons and toasters must not be used as they drain too much energy in a short amount of time.
