River access One of the best parts of the property is the private river access. A short 5-minute walk down the dirt road beside the house leads to the riverfront, where you'll find: • Lounge chairs • Picnic table • Peaceful swimming and fishing areas • Beautiful forest and canyon scenery The shoreline is made of river rocks and pebbles, so water shoes are recommended for comfort. If you have a 4WD vehicle, you can drive directly to the riverfront. The area is also close to whitewater rafting, hiking, wineries, breweries, golfing, and outdoor recreation throughout the Auburn and American River region. The larger property also includes separate Airbnb camping and cabin areas called “Private River Oasis,” “Starlight River Retreat,” and “Riverside Retreat.” These spaces are spread out across the property for privacy, though you may occasionally see other guests during your stay. Because of the natural setting, you may encounter wildlife including deer, wild turkeys, birds, and other native animals during your visit. Please note that portions of the property include dirt roads and natural terrain. If a vehicle becomes stuck, the host may be able to provide tow assistance for a $350 fee per vehicle, if available.
