Description

This scenic property is a little world of its own. Try the cold plunge challenge in our pristine creek! The converted barn is full of character and charm. Hand feed & interact with our herd of friendly alpacas. Very warm in winter, lots of natural light, log burner Private wood fired hot tub! Hammock. Glow worms, creek view & private access, amazing star gazing. Peaceful hiking tracks that lead to waterfalls and historic huts. Scenic mountains, creek and forests on your doorstep. The space Spend the day hiking the scenic tracks behind our property…a wood fired hot tub & hammock will help you recover. The cabin sleeps 2 adults in an upstairs super king bed & 2 children on a sofa bed in the downstairs lounge room (up to 17 yrs) If your group is 4 adults we can accommodate 2 in the cabin & 2 in our house truck located 50 metres away. (see our other site “Alpacas Off Grid - House Truck (Spacious/Boutique). Our place also has lots of great photo opportunities. We try to make every stay special and cater to guests needs. The hill country setting is on another level. On site you'll find lots of beautiful walking tracks, glow worms, a couple of crystal clear creeks as well as diverse and plentiful wildlife....expect to feel relaxed immediately. Guest access Guests have independent access to the property via a tree lined driveway. 30 acres of pristine native bush, farm land and creeks are available for guests to explore at all times. Access to Kahurangi National Park means that no matter how much energy you have...you can spend it all without needing to get in your car. Other things to note This is the perfect natural setting for guests looking for a fun and a unique experience. We provide lots of comfort with an emphasis on relaxation. For us that means enjoying nature, being surrounded by animals and soaking up the fresh air and night skies. There is no WIFI in the cabin but internet access is available at our house daily from 8am - midday. We encourage people to unplug...play some board games...visit the alpacas. International guests should buy a 'Spark' SIM card for the best reception in this area. We have several on site walking tracks which are beautiful. For outdoor adventures, the Kahurangi National Park and Takaka River are in easy walking distance. We believe the Golden Bay area is still very much under rated so we advise guests to allow as much time as possible to explore the area properly.
