Half way between Sydney and Brisbane, where the coast meets the mountains. Coffs Harbour is 1 hour drive north and Port Macquarie is 1 1/4 hr south, both have regional airports. Scotts Head has unspoilt natural coastal landscapes and is nestled between 2 National Parks. Gaagal Wanggaan (South Beach) to the north and Yarriabinni at Mount Yarrahapinni to the south and west. Warrell Creek a heritage listed estuary backs the village.
