Description
The following was a review written by a customer: "Self-contained, seven-bedroom, four-bathroom house in a large, picturesque garden on 30 acres with views of the Yarra Valley. The home is specifically designed and equipped for people with disabilities and ideal for couples, small groups or families. The space "There's a big dining table for sharing meals, playing board games (provided) or admiring the diverse bird life that is perpetually adorning the front garden. There's plenty of room to spread out and a fabulous indoor/outdoor room with a table tennis table and kids play area. Despite boasting all these wonderful features, the cottage is entirely unpretentious and this makes it easy to completely relax with the kids about. "Of further note is disabled access with the bathrooms downstairs appropriate for those with wheelchairs/requiring additional support. The owners have also very generously made some mobility aids available in a shed, should guests require these. (Owners note: the shed contains such things as shower chairs of various types, a wheelchair, walking frame, hoist {hydraulic byo sling} commodes, bed sticks etc). "The property is situated on 30 glorious acres with some lovely nature walks and beautiful gardens. Our children were mesmerised by the 2 beautiful dams - you can catch yabbies in the lower one. There are cows, goats and donkeys on the property. We really enjoyed feeding, patting and brushing the donkeys and they were very friendly. "Although one could quite pleasantly pass the time in and around the cottage, Warburton has plenty to offer should you wish to venture out and explore. The township has several decent eateries. We enjoyed Warburton Pantry and Cog Bike Cafe - where you can hire a bike and enjoy a leisurely ride along the Lilydale-Warburton rail trail should the mood strike you. Worth viewing nearby is Boinga Bob's unique treehouse temple which has reportedly been assembled with no nails. The river walk is lovely and has playgrounds and BBQ's at several points." Guest access There's undercover parking for one vehicle providing access to a step-less front door. Plenty of space outside for extra cars. The property sleeps 16-18 adults: - In total there are 7 Bedrooms with 10 single beds (4 adjustable and 1 set of bunks), 3 doubles and 2 cots. - 2 of the 4 bathrooms are fully accessible with roll-in showers and grab rails. The 3rd bathroom has a small lip to step in to the shower but the shower has rails and a seat attached to the wall. You can relax outdoors with the beautiful native bush and maintained gardens.
