Further afield, Canterbury and its iconic cathedral are just 7 miles away. Private parking on the doorstep means you can unpack at a leisurely pace. Leave your coats and shoes in the hallway, stow your other outdoor gear in the utility room, and you’ll find the ground-floor bathroom especially handy when you need to freshen up after a trip to the beach. Take the stairs to the first floor, where you’ll find a light and airy lounge with a calm, neutral colour palette and, at one end, patio doors that frame the unhindered view of the sea and open onto a private balcony. Adjacent to the lounge, the kitchen/diner has sleek cabinetry, ample space to store all your self-catering supplies, and a dining suite with elbow room for all. When it’s time to sleep, two similarly styled bedrooms are on the second floor; choose between a king-size and a twin – both have their own en-suite shower rooms.
