Les Ecuries, a superb handicapped friendly gite

Les Ecuries at Le Bouchet nestles in beautiful wooded countryside only 5 minutes from Descartes with supermarkets, restaurants, bars & shops. The gite is handicapped friendly & has its own landscaped terraces. The shared heated pool is set in beautiful gardens that provide a quiet & peaceful place for you to relax & enjoy your stay - simply arrive, put down your bags, open a chilled bottle of Vouvray, pull up a lounger, take a breath & ease into your holiday! The space We know how important location is to get the best from your holiday, which is why we know you will enjoy your stay with us at Le Bouchet and which is why we only have two gites at Le Bouchet, each with its own private landscaped areas to make sure you have as peaceful and relaxing time as possible. The gites location makes it perfect for seeing lots of the Loire chateaux but there are also lots of other things to see and do further south, locally and in the Vienne. The local area is a rich haven for wildlife, with red deer and wild boar roaming around and buzzards crying out as they circle overhead; herons and many different types of wild birds are often seen in and around the local lake. We have tried to extend that environment into the gardens at Le Bouchet which are extensively landscaped and planted to attract the wildlife while at the same time offering you the amenities you need to enjoy your holiday, the large heated pool with its own terrace where you can keep an eye on the little ones, a picnic area overlooking the pool and a play area with swings and slide and goals for a game of football. Our two gites have been renovated to a very high standard providing all the necessary facilities you need to get the most from your holiday. Guest access As well as your own private terraces you have access to the landscaped gardens at Le Bouchet with a heated pool and large play area for the children. For the mobility impaired there is ramped access into the gite There is same level access from the living area onto the main terrace and all other terraces are accessible from there. There is also ramped access to the pool terrace so that you can join your family while they swim. Other things to note Free EV charging for our guests. During peak season we only accept bookings for a minimum of 5 nights. Out of peak season we are happy to take bookings for a minimum of 3 nights. Kitchen and dining Fully fitted kitchen with cooker, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine and coffee machine. The dining area has a large table and seats for 7. Living rooms Lounge area with ample, comfortable seating and UK and French Satellite television, radio/cd player, wifi internet access. There is also a selection of books and board games for all the family. Bedrooms Large ground-floor double bedroom. Upstairs, a large double bedroom with its own lounge area and a large bedroom with three single beds. All the bedrooms have hair dryers and fans and the upstairs bedrooms all have air conditioning units. Bedding and towels are included in the price. Bathrooms The upstairs bathroom has a shower, basin, toilet and heater. Downstairs there is a large bathroom with a walk in shower, basin, toilet and heater. Heating Both bathrooms have heating. Entertainment Both UK and French tv are available via satellite. There is a radio/cd player. There is a library of books and board games for all ages. For the garden there are boules and badminton sets and for younger children there are swings and a slide and football nets in a large play area adjacent to the pool. Garden and outside Your private fenced terraces include a pergola, table, chairs, sun loungers and barbeque. There is a second pergola with garden furniture to provide shade. The large heated pool set in the beautiful gardens at Le Bouchet is ideal for a bit of refreshing relief on a hot sunny day. The pool is heated by a heat pump so even the odd cloudy day shouldn't spoil your enjoyment. A range of pool toys and floats are provided to complete the fun. The pool deck is fenced for your security and peace of mind with pool entry points protected by pool security locks to prevent any toddler wandering in by accident. There is also a picnic area overlooking the pool so you can keep an eye on your youngsters while enjoying a coffee and a play area with swings and slide, and goals for a game of football. Parking There is ample parking in front of the gite in our large courtyard. Free EV Charging is available at all times for our guests. Visitor suitability All ages can be catered for. We can provide a cot, high chair and stairgate if requested. The gite is suitable for handicapped access, with a walk-in shower downstairs and a decked terrace at the same level as the gite lounge. Further access to your private terraces is via ramp. There is a ramp entry point to the gite and ramp access is provided for direct access to the pool surround for wheelchair users so that you can join your family and friends around the pool while they are swimming. Information about any additional facilities Bike hire is available through BikeHire Direct who will deliver and collect the bikes from Le Bouchet.
