Renovated 2 bedroom, 2 bath flat in a brilliant and safe location. 1930s building with lovely details including French doors and 3 meter Catalan Vault ceilings. I may be biased but after living in this flat for a year, I found it to be one of the best locations in Barcelona. Super convenient neighborhood with all the amenities - close to the action but not amongst the throngs of tourists. Perfect flat for remote work or an expat looking for a landing spot while searching for a permanent home. The space This is our personal home bought for our eventual retirement so not your typical rental flat. Outfitted to a high standard with conveniences in mind. The living and dining room are open plan and great for entertaining and relaxing. The living room and main bedroom features a Smart TV with access to Netflix and Amazon. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, oven, microwave, and full cooking implements, not just the basics. There is enough dining room seating to host a small dinner party should you wish. There are two remodeled bathrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and the other a single that converts to a queen as well as a single loft bed reached via a ladder. Pease note: while the flat can sleep more given the sofa in the living room, for extended stays it is better set up for a couple or a small family although can be used for two singles traveling together if someone realizes the second bedroom is smaller. The whole flat has access to very fast, fiber optic WIFI. Great for remote workers and the flat is very quiet despite being in the heart of the city. The flat is on the ground floor so you don’t have to deal with any stairs. Air conditioned and radiant heated for your convenience although with the usually temperate weather you might not need it. Double paned windows throughout which block out the city sounds and keep the house temperate. This is great for families due to the location, Montjuïc park nearby and easy transportation. Additionally, no stairs makes it easy for young kids and babies with strollers. Also a very safe location with many family activities all year long. In this house, you’ll be in a neighborhood where it is very easy to live. There are so many amenities that you could find anything you need within a few blocks radius. You are most definitely not amongst huge throngs of tourists, but you are very close to all the touristic activities. You can in fact walk from here to much of Barcelona. Or the public transportation is phenomenal and very close by. There are huge closets in both bedrooms plus the vestibule and there is a washer AND dryer (a rarity in the city). You can also hang dry clothes in the patio area. If you are moving to Barcelona but looking for a temporary place, this is for you. You can bring your myriad of bags and suitcases and put your belongings in the three giant closets. And the flat is so well equipped you will feel at home while you search for your perfect spot. Guest access You are a block from the metro and buses. Walkable to everything. Other things to note Pets may be considered with an additional €100 pet fee and pre approval. Subject to an additional €250 cleaning charge if pets are kept on the property without preapproval. No smoking anywhere on the property. If smoking is detected there will be a €250 fee. Please not that the second bedroom is small in size. It is a narrow bedroom with not a lot of floor space if the queen bed is made up. Therefore we will set up the bed as a single bed. Should someone wish, they can convert to a queen. This room does also have a loft bed reached via a ladder. For two roommates sharing the space, it should be noted that the bedrooms are not equal. Barcelona is an urban city and is very humid. This can lead to the house being humid. We provide fans and air conditioning but humidity is often very high in the city and in the flat. Barcelona is notorious for La Cucaracha (cockroaches), especially during the hot and humid season. And they do often try to get into houses through whatever opening they can find. The house is fairly well sealed but sometimes they get in. They do not live in the house and we do treat so, if they do get in, they don’t last very long. The flat is on the ground floor. This allows level in entry with no stairs!but also means there is less light given that the patio is a light well and windows are at ground level and frosted for privacy. However you have amazing outdoor spaces just outside the front door including Montjuic park one block over and dozens of cafes just outside the front door. On a positive not, this also keeps the flat cool during the very warm summer months.
