Chateau Mareuil

Our beautiful Medieval Chateau is situated close to Montmorillon and Le Dorat in the Vienne region. The chateau itself sleeps up to 13 people in 2 luxurious turret suites and a family bedroom on the ground floor with adjacent shower room. In addition, there are two recently renovated gites, sleeping 6 and 2 which can be rented separately (see separate ads). We live on site in a separate cottage with our 2 chateau cats! The space The Chateau de Mareuil is an ancient medieval castle which is at least 700 years old! It has been beautifully restored, it is bijou and perfectly formed! We live on site in the pretty cottage to the left of the main picture. There is an ancient "Donjon" and various other outbuildings to explore. The gardens are extensive and full of fruit and flowers in season with several delightful places to sit, sip wine and admire the view. There is a bar/games room with American pool and our 12m x 6m pool is sheer luxury! Guest access You will have access to the kitchen and the main salon with a monumental fireplace and beautiful antique furniture. Outside, you have free access to explore the gardens and river bank - why not take a picnic down to the river? You will have use of our luxury pool with shower and WC adjacent. We also have a bar/games room with and American Pool table and lots of board games. Other things to note The beautiful climate!
