Welcome to our little piece of paradise on the St Mary’s River/Lake Huron . This is an all seasons house with a lot of space inside and outside to enjoy all the spectacular views and activities on the water. The property has a dock you can anchor your boat and/or your jet skis. Kayaking and SUP are a must do while visiting. Fishing (summer and winter) can be enjoyed on the dock or the solid ice in the winter time. If you are looking for a quiet getaway, you have found the right place. The space The kitchen is furnished for cooking full meals if you like. The bedrooms have a variety of mattresses from medium to firm, with comfortable bedding, and extra blankets. You should be able to find a bed to suit your sleeping style. Guest access The concrete driveway in front of the garage is the only parking available. It will fit three cars very comfortably, and possibly four depending on vehicle size. Other things to note The Garage is currently off limits to guest, but we hope to offer it soon as we further prepare our home. There is also an owner closet which is locked for your safety. There are spots for boat trailers and ATVs just across from the house. Please back your trailer into this space and do not block aces to the barn or garage. We recommend launching kayaks in the shallow water just to the left or right of the dock. The area is rocky and water shoes will keep you comfortable. The bay was dredge many years ago to allow boat access to the homes around the bay. The deeper water is easy to spot as the reeds do not grow there. The water inside our boat dock is currently 5 feet deep. The channels within the bay are 4-10 feet deep, but vary year to year. The nearest boat launch is in Detour which you can use for a small fee. When entering the bay and while using the channels, you must adhere to a “No Wake" speed.
