Modern Private Cabin on Spanish Creek w/ AC

The Little Lodge on Spanish Creek is a modern, Scandinavian-style double A-frame cabin with water access, outdoor wild spaces, and lots of privacy. This cozy cabin has two bedrooms and a full bath complete with steam shower, a fully stocked kitchen with all the modern amenities, and a wood burning stove & AC. With two decks in the trees and an enclosed outdoor dining space, there is room to spread out and enjoy nature. WIFI is included, and it's a short 10 minute drive into Quincy. The space A spacious entry welcomes you to the Little Lodge with a built-in bench for removing shoes or boots and a nearby coat closet for stowing away winter or summer gear. Whole house furnace for cold months and AC for summer ensure you can always relax at the perfect temperature, while the wood stove adds just the right cabin ambiance. Enjoy a selection of current fiction and nonfiction on the bookshelves or dive into the many local outdoor guides for hikes, local history, or plant and bird identification. The glass French doors open onto one of two decks in the trees to enjoy the outdoor space with river-front views. Sleep in the private primary bedroom with a king-size bed and a convenient 65" wall-mounted TV with Roku TV for streaming from your favorite service. This bedroom has a lovely window seat nook with views of Spanish Creek--sleep with the windows open and be lulled by the gentle sounds of water. This room has a ceiling fan for air movement, additional pillows in the trunk under the TV, and a dresser for storing away clothing during your stay. The second bedroom sleeps four with a queen-size bed and twin-over-twin bunk bed. This space is small but mighty with a dresser, cozy window seat nook, and a collection of wind-up toys for the kids and kids at heart to play with and race. Both bedrooms share a full spa bathroom between them complete with a working steam shower. Enjoy the overhead rain shower or separate hand-held shower. Bath towels and beach/river towels are provided as well as extra sheets, blankets, and pillows in the nearby linen closet. The main living space at the Little Lodge is open concept with a fully stocked and functional kitchen with bar-height dining at the island and an additional dining table inside. The kitchen boasts a gas cooktop, built-in oven, microwave, fridge/freezer combo with craft ice in the freezer and water and ice through the fridge door. You can bake, cook simple family meals, or even roast a turkey with the provided equipment. In the kitchen area, a large-capacity washer and dryer are concealed behind bi-fold doors with cleaning and laundry supplies and additional storage space above. The family room is steps away with another cozy window seat overlooking the river, seating for 6, and a wood burning stove for crisp nights. Open the double French doors to a screened-in deck perfect for outdoor dining without pests. Outdoors, the property includes ample wild space with mature trees and a river to explore. Enjoy the included fire pit when burning is permitted (subject to local regulations). Perfect for fishing and cooling off in the summer, there is not another spot like this available for rent in all of Plumas County. Hiking and biking are both easily accessible from the Little Lodge, and this is a great spot for a cozy winter retreat for fun in the snow. Guest access The Little Lodge on Spanish Creek is ideally located with direct water access along a walkable road. There is parking in front with several spaces for multiple vehicles. Other things to note Some firewood is present outside in front of the property but is not included as an amenity for either the outdoor fire pit or the wood burning stove. This property is set in the forest, so while we have regular pest control service, spiders and insects may be present. The property is also designed as a wild space. The grounds are accessible but left natural and un-landscaped.
