Delight in nature with a self contained cottage, situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park at the end of a one mile drive, on a private farm near Graffham. It is quiet, peaceful and a perfect holiday spot for families, friends, and your pets! Westerlands is a regenerative farm focused on re-wilding and the restoration of our chalk downland. The modern, light and airy open plan kitchen, living/dining area has been thoughtfully furnished with a comfortable Sofa and armchair, beautiful blinds and ethically sourced -up-cycled furniture. Barn Cottage is fully self-sufficient with a kitchen that has an electric hob/oven/microwave, fridge-freezer, coffee machine and all the various cooking utensils you need. There is also fast Wifi and a Smart TV. The property boasts a large open master bedroom with King bed, second upstairs bedroom with a Double and Single bed, and a downstairs Double bedroom. The bedding is a luxurious Egyptian cotton...as well as our towels that are provided! There is both a downstairs family bathroom and spare loo in the utility room. Faith in Nature toiletries are provided. All products in the property have been selected with ethical and sustainable values at the core, and where possible support local, artisan businesses. Natural materials which mimic nature are a key component in the property. The property retains many of it’s original quirky features, and enjoys its own private secure garden, perfect for your four legged friend to burn off some steam whilst you enjoy the spectacular views of the South Downs. There are also dog bowls and treats provided. The property is fully equipped with highchair, travel cot, changing mat, potty and children's plates, mugs and cutlery, plus a selection of games, meaning you can travel lighter. Barn Cottage offers clear skylines, and perfect for stargazing. We have an app guided telescope for your use...best time of the year for this is surprisingly February, and we are lucky enough to be a part of the Dark Sky Reserve in The South Downs National Trust. We are fortunate to be near some great pubs, The Woodcote, The Foresters, The Cricketers, The Three Moles are all 20-30 min walk from the farm. Guest access You will have full access to Barn Cottage and the fenced garden surrounding the property. There are many excellent walks at Westerlands, with many activities available to keep the whole family entertained during your stay. Other things to note We use biomass to heat all of our water, and the South Down water is from our own boreholes. Our resident artists produce beautiful pieces to hang in each of our holiday lets.
