Quiet, bright, modern home with direct and panoramic ocean views from most of the house, including the living room, master bedroom, and expansive gourmet kitchen. The home is located at the far westerly end of Swans Island on eight acres of land overlooking Jericho Bay. You will see stunning sunsets in the evening, eagles flying between tall pines throughout the day, and awaken in the morning to a view of boats sailing on the water. I will provide contact information for a caretaker that is local to Swans Island, and I will be available via text, phone, and email. Swans Island supports three small lobstering villages with a winter population of around 300 people. Our house is located on the western side of the island at the far end of a dirt road. The location provides a quiet retreat in the midst of the natural beauty of both woods and ocean. Fine Sand Beach is located only a mile away from the house. Other attractions on the island include hiking trails, a lighthouse, museum, art studios, and kayaking. Note: Local Swans Island ordinances prohibit sale of alcoholic beverages on the island. You can bring alcoholic beverages with you and consume them on the premises. They are just not available for sale anywhere on the island. The ferry from Bass Harbor (Mt Desert Island) provides transport to and from Swans Island for residents, visitors, and freight. Though it is not required to bring a vehicle, you will need one to get to the house and to travel around the island.
