East End Penthouse in Shadyside w/rooftop deck

A private spot to be inspired, reflect, write and or daydream.This luxury and unique 2 bedrooms, 3-level apartment is above a family home in the Shadyside/East End area. It is on a quiet residential street w/ ample outdoor space to conference and work from home. It has its own stunning private rooftop space,open floor plan, a true oasis in the city! Walkable to many local coffee/bars, gyms, shops and eateries in East Shadyside. The space The East End Penthouse is a three level open floor plan apartment located on the 3rd floor in the East End of Pittsburgh located in Shadyside and near East Liberty. You will have your own, separate & private entrance. There is a small private elevator for entry into the space. There is also an outdoor spiral staircase you can access if you would also like to use. This luxury apartment has 2 separate bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a tub bath on the main level and a step-in shower on the second level. The steam sauna is not functional. The space works well for couples, small families, and or someone who likes their own space to move around. The second level is accessed by a spiral staircase and has a king-size bed with a connected bathroom and step-in shower. While the first level bedroom has a queen size bed, with a private bathroom/tub accessible to the living room and main floor. There is an open living room floor plan, a kitchen and an upstairs tv nook that has a pull out sofa that has a full size mattress that can fit two children comfortably or 1 adult. We can also provide (1) twin sized mattress if you need additional sleeping spaces- BUT you will need to let us know in advance, so we can place it in your apt prior to your booking. The apartment has heat and central air to keep you comfortable. There are also supplemental floor fans located in each bedroom closet should you desire. There is a flat-screen TV in every bedroom including the living room and study. A wrapped Brazilian Teak terrace is connected to the living room, perfect for your morning coffee and or a yoga stretch. The patio door is retractable that can be used on nicer days- this will require owner to assist in opening and closing. it is tempermental! Please do not attempt on own. The space It has a partial kitchen- a full-size refrigerator, microwave, coffee station, and an induction stove. * There is no oven or toaster. However, A Breville Smart Air Oven is available for guests (has a toaster function). A full-size washing machine and dryer are available in your apartment as well. There is also a security system available if you wish to use it. We maintain a full-time residence below this apartment. The Rooftop is undergoing maintenance and is in process of being repainted - but not during your visit. ** If you are sensitive to noise or urban traffic sounds, this will not be a suitable location to book. Please review house rules prior to booking! Guest access This apartment is private with its own separate entrance and exit. You will have the entire private access to the rooftop, mid-level terrace and 2 bedroom apartment only. The backyard is communal and shared by our family . Off-street designated parking included. You will have free wifi access, that has also a hardwire hook up. Smart TV's have Netflix and Amazon Prime streaming services. We love coffee and have multiple coffee-making options for you to use (French press, Aeropress, Chemex, and Nespresso (original pixie) machine. Local and favorite coffee is supplied to get you started. If you have a favorite creamer or sweetener preference, let us know! Other things to note The penthouse and rooftop including the rooftop soaking tub is your own private space. There is elevator access to reach the first level of the apartment. But in order to reach 2nd-floor bedroom and rooftop, you must use a spiral staircase. This may not be suitable for those with mobility issues. While we adore families and children, please note this apartment is not baby/child proof, there are no baby gates on stairwells. Parental supervision for children 12 and under is needed for all stairs, elevator use and while on the rooftop and patio decks. The outside decking is slippery when wet, please take caution when walking down the stairwell, tub areas and deck. For those with mobility issues, please review the pictures carefully. there is one small step to the first level bedroom, other than that it is all same level to the family room and kitchen. However, to access the second bedroom and rooftop you must be able to climb stairs. Regarding elevator usage- there is a weight limit per use. Please keep to 2-3 persons per ride. To avoid issues, please follow directions carefully. * Please note in winter months (Dec-March ), you may access the roof, but furniture and tub may be covered to protect themselves from elements of snow and rain. You may uncover and use it if you wish. The rooftop soaking tub may not be able to be in use during freezing or inclement weather and temperatures and will be turned off. All outside furniture is subject to weather conditions.
