Bliss State Park and Emerald Bay •Close to Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley The space Welcome to "Tucked Inn", a Cozy, Comfortable, and Clean Cabin in a quiet neighborhood at West Shore of Lake Tahoe, Tahoma Great for a couple or a family with small children (Max capacity is 2 people - kids under 6 not included).The fenced-in and secure backyard is a great place for kids to play and dog to explore (backyard may not be accessible during heavy winter storm due to too much snow). Convenient location: • 0.5 miles to a small plaza with a coffee shop and post office • 0.7 miles to the beach • 1.4 miles to Sugar Pine Point State Park • 3.2 miles to Meeks Bay • 2.6 miles to Homewood Mountain Ski Resort "Tucked Inn" features an open floor plan, one bedroom with a queen bed, a full bathroom with a shower, and a stacking washer and dryer. The comfortable living room features a gas fireplace, large flat panel TV, and a full-size sofa sleeper. Use the Wi-Fi to share photos and update your social media status. Or unplug and have a good conversation over your favorite beverage. The well-equipped kitchen features stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher, and everything you need to create a home-cooked meal. The adjacent dining area has a table with four chairs. You can also barbeque in the summer and enjoy eating outdoors in the backyard. Venturing out? Many Lake Tahoe activities and sights are right at your doorstep! Your home away from home is close to Meeks Bay, which has a terrific sandy beach. Located on National Forest Land, the Meeks Bay shoreline is popular for its beautiful scenery, sprawling clean beaches, and easy access. The area offers a high concentration of recreation opportunities including camping, swimming, biking, boating, and hiking into the nearby Desolation Wilderness. Also nearby, Chambers Landing has a nice beach and a popular restaurant and bar (described below). Ed Z’Berg – Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen, and juniper. Another attraction is the Hellman-Ehrman Mansion (also known as Pine Lodge), a summer home built-in 1903. Winter visitors to the park will find over 20 kilometers of marked cross country ski trails and a heated restroom in the General Creek campground. D.L. Bliss State Park is open to vehicular traffic in the summer, where you can enjoy swimming or scuba diving in the crystal clear water of Lake Tahoe, picnicking, relaxing on the warm sand of Lester Beach or Calawee Cove, and access to hiking the Rubicon Trail, Lighthouse Trail, and Balancing Rock Trail. Lester Beach is a popular location to launch your kayak, paddleboard, or canoe. You won’t want to miss the icon of Lake Tahoe, Emerald Bay, a short drive away. Emerald Bay State Park boasts 360-degree picturesque views that encompass Emerald Bay, Fannette Island, Eagle Falls, and Vikingsholm Castle. Just a few miles down the road you’ll find Homewood, Alpine Meadows, and Squaw Valley Ski Resorts. The Magical West Shore has great options for whatever you fancy: snowshoeing, snowboarding, downhill or cross-country skiing, sledding, and more! Interested in a dining option? We highly recommend the Fire Sign Cafe for breakfast and lunch. The local market is convenient for a quick stop. Open in the summer, Chambers Landing is the oldest bar on Lake Tahoe. The menu features a wide variety of delicious items and a kid's menu is also available. A favorite family hot spot and accessible from land and by boat from the lake, Chambers Landing is known for its pristine views of Lake Tahoe. To experience all the gambling and nightlife that the Lake Tahoe area offers, South Lake Tahoe/Stateline is about a 30-minute drive. *** TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that all of our lovely guests purchase travel insurance as we normally do not refund for Covid, smoke, fires, weather, snow storms, road closures, etc. *** Please DO NOT book this WITHOUT reading and agreeing to the house policies: *** PET POLICY *** One well-behaved dog is permitted with prior approval. Dog is not allowed on furniture. *** WINTER WARNING *** • No street parking from November 1 to May 1 due to snow removal. • Please adhere to Caltrans traffic advisories during Winter Storms. Traction tires or 4-wheel drive may be required. *** BEAR WARNING *** • Lake Tahoe is BEAR Country. Keep ALL doors/windows closed when leaving • DO NOT leave trash outside. ALL trash must be put inside the bear box. • DO NOT leave food, trash or anything with strong odors inside vehicle as bears may break into it. *** HOUSE RULES *** • Minimum age of primary guest: 25 years old. • Max capacity is 2 people. Children UNDER the age of six (6) do NOT count toward the occupancy limit. • Maximum one vehicle parking on driveway • NO smoking/vapping is allowed on-premises • NO parties NO events are allowed on premises any time of day. • Quiet time is between 9 PM and 8 AM. Occupancy is limited during quiet hours. This house is in a sound-sensitive residential neighborhood. Strict ordinances govern Tahoe vacation rentals. • Over-occupancy, excess vehicles or excessive noise at any time of day will result in guest fines $1000 up to $5000 (in addition to fines assessed against the homeowner by local authorities), which you will be responsible to pay. •NO SMOKING NO PARTY policy will be strictly enforced. ANY breach is subject to $500 fine and possible eviction. • For fire security reasons, outside fires are not allowed at any time. *** HOUSEKEEPING *** • Please REMOVE shoes and boots when entering the house. Please bring house shoes or slippers to wear inside the house. • Please DO NOT bring Skis, Snowboards, Snow equipment, and Snow boots inside the house. Snow gear can be stored in the mudroom. • Please note that our cleaning team often has a tight schedule to arrive and leave right after our fixed time slot. Please follow our check-out and check-in schedule. • No AC Available in the House. Thermostat for Heating Only. *** WHEN LEAVING PLEASE*** • Empty the refrigerator. • Remove kitchen trash, pack it tightly, and place it in the bear box. • Place used dishes in the dishwasher and start the cycle. • Set the main thermostat to 55°F in winter. • Turn off the fireplace. Unplug the portable heater from the bedroom. • Turn off the TV and lights. • Secure the sliding door and all windows. • Check all areas of the property to ensure you haven't left any personal items behind. • Lock the entrance door. *** FEES/FINES *** • $30 fine will be charged for each missing remote control • NO SMOKING NO PARTY policy will be strictly enforced.
