The space Welcome to The Crooked Tree Cabin! A tranquil creekside escape at Blueberry Falls Farm in Mentone, Alabama, where rustic charm meets modern comfort. Relax in the private hot tub on the screened-in porch, take in peaceful views of the creek and forest, and enjoy a serene setting designed for rest, connection, and nature’s beauty. ➤ Bedroom 1 (Main Floor/Master) Features a queen bed with linens provided, a dresser and closet with hangers, and a lockable door for privacy. ➤ Bedroom 2 (Hall) Includes a bunk bed with two twin beds, perfect for kids or extra guests. ➤ Bedroom 3 (Loft) Accessible by steep stairs, the loft has two twin beds, creating a cozy space great for children or additional sleeping arrangements. ➤ Bathroom A full bathroom equipped with a shower, toilet, and vanity. Essentials provided include towels (1 per guest), washcloths, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and two rolls of toilet paper. ➤ Living/Kitchen/Dining Area This space brings everyone together for cooking, dining, and relaxing. The fully stocked kitchen includes a microwave, Keurig and drip coffee makers, pots, pans, baking sheets, drinking glasses, dinnerware, and silverware. Pantry staples such as olive oil, salt, and pepper are provided, along with a coffee starter kit featuring a few K-Cups, two packs of coffee grounds, filters, creamer, and sugar to get you through your first day. The kitchen counter seats two for casual meals, while the side porch picnic table offers a great spot for outdoor dining. In the living area, unwind with a Smart TV (YouTube TV available for live channels and sports.) and Wi-Fi for streaming or remote work. The connected layout makes it easy to enjoy time together whether you’re cooking, eating, or simply relaxing. ➤ Outdoor Space Unwind on the screened-in porch with a private hot tub, or nap on the sleeping porch daybed as you listen to the creek below. The outdoor area includes a wood-burning fire pit (wood not provided), charcoal grill (charcoal not provided) with utensils, gravel patio, and views of the Solar Chandelier Garden. The gentle sounds of the creek add to the relaxing, nature-filled atmosphere. ➤ Community Areas • Game Room (Creek House Lounge) Located a short walk from the cottage, the Creek House Lounge includes a foosball table, Pac-Man arcade, PlayStation, crafts area, TV with DVD player, and cozy hanging chairs—a perfect spot for family fun and relaxation. • Bathhouse Available for all guests at Blueberry Falls Farm, featuring two showers and two additional restrooms for added comfort during your stay. • Community Overlook & Rooftop Deck Enjoy panoramic views of the waterfall, pond, and forest from these scenic gathering spots—great for photos, sunrise coffee, or stargazing at night. ➤ Location The Crooked Tree Cabin sits on six scenic acres at Blueberry Falls Farm, featuring a u-pick blueberry farm, small waterfall, and peaceful pond. Located on Lookout Mountain near Mentone, Alabama, it’s a beautiful and safe retreat surrounded by nature, with four state parks within a 30-minute drive. The cottage is one of three tiny homes in our village—each with private amenities but shared access to the farm’s common spaces. Guests can enjoy seasonal blueberry picking (mid-June–mid-August) and the annual Blueberry Festival in July. Nearby attractions include DeSoto Falls, DeSoto State Park, and Little River Canyon National Preserve, along with Mentone’s charming shops, dining, and art. Guest access Guests have access to the entire cabin during their stay, as well as the shared community areas (Overlook bridge, game room and the extra bath house.). Hot tub access for $25.00 for 1 night stay or $50.00 for stays more than 1 night. Please indicate if you would like to add this feature to your reservation so we can prepare it before your stay. Parking is available in the gravel driveway, which fits two small cars or one large vehicle. Additional parking is located at the front of the property for extra cars, RVs, trailers, or larger vehicles if needed. Other things to note ➤ Two other tiny homes share the property, each designed for privacy, and the entire farm or all three homes can be rented together upon request. ➤ PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS IS AN ACTIVE FARM. The owner lives and works on the property. Our farm dog, Maggie, is extremely friendly but may bark at cars and guests initially and then she wants to be your and your dog's best friend. She will not harm you in any way, and if her presence ever becomes an issue, the owner is happy to keep her inside. ➤ Blueberry Season is from mid-June to late August. During this time, the blueberry bushes are open to the public for our U-pick season. The cottages are separate from the bushes, but please be aware of this if you are coming during blueberry season. ➤ During the Spring, Summer, and Fall, landscaping takes place on Thursday mornings and afternoons. This includes mowing, weed eating, and blowing around the houses. ➤ Starter kitchen and bathroom essentials are provided, but guests will need to supply disposables and restock items for the duration of their stay. ➤ Pets allowed (NO pets in the loft areas please) with $50 fee per stay. Max 2 dogs under 60 lbs (pre-approval for larger). No cats or aggressive breeds. Keep pets off furniture, clean up after them, and crate if left alone. ➤ Exceeding maximum occupancy is not permitted. ➤ No third-party bookings (must book under your own account). ➤ No parties, events, smoking, vaping, marijuana use, or open flames (candles, incense, sage). ➤ Quiet hours begin at 10:00 pm. Please keep noise to a minimum.
