Great for the weekend getaway, business trip or extended vacation. WIFI, well appointed kitchen, 2.5 bath, gas FP & front porch rocking chairs to watch the parade of dog walkers. Walk to (excellent) authentic Himalayan food at the Cheel or a glass of wine at Glaze while painting a new coffee mug! Charm and character in a serene, relaxing space. 3 large bedrooms with interesting coves and nooks. 2 1/2 baths and a first floor laundry room right off the oversized attached 2 car garage with extra parking in the driveway. A small picket fenced back yard, and a lovely front porch with 4 white rocking chairs provides the perfect place to sip a cup of coffee, read or people watch. The bedrooms all have smart TV’s, USB charging stations, memory foam mattresses (ranging from soft to very firm) Beds are all made with down pillows and duvet covered down comforters but each bedroom also has alternative hypoallergenic bedding and pillows in each of the walk in closets. The two larger bedrooms each have two luxury spa robes to relax in during your stay. New (or sanitized) baby items are stored in the walk in closet in the twin room at the top of the stairs. There is a port-a-crib, high chair, bouncy seat and booster. The upper larger BR has an office nook with fast WIFI and 5 feet of desk space for your laptop and a printer with paper. (Shared bathroom with twin room) Slate stone lamps and bedside stands give this room a grounded quality. Although the house has central air conditioning, there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms livingroom and kitchen. Some require only the wall switch, others require the chain to be pulled. The property backs up to a wedding venue that has occasional outdoor receptions and it can get loud! We have two sound machines available in bedrooms and are always willing to provide earplugs on those rare occasions! You will have the whole house and yard to yourself. Park in the oversized 2 car garage or on the driveway. There is a walking path up to the front porch where you will find white wooden rocking chairs and the front door with a key pad. We'll give you a key code within 24 hours of check in. Come in, relax in front of the fireplace and sip a cup of tea or coffee We’ll leave you to your stay and communicate by text unless you prefer otherwise. We live close by and are happy to assist you with anything you might need. Enjoy authentic Himalayan food at the Cheel two blocks around the corner (regularly rated one of the best restaurants in the Milwaukee area) NOTE: The Cheel is rebuilding! Walk to Fiddleheads coffee roasters or Colectivo…or have lunch at Remmingtons overlooking the river. This house is nestled in the Historic District on the same block as Village Park and the beautiful Milwaukee River. Pamper yourself across the street at Tres Jolie Solace Spa and Salon. Enjoy the fireworks, festivals, parades and farmers markets with locally grown goodies on the cutest street in the Mequon-Thiensville area! Note: Shullys Watermark Venue is directly behind the house so you may experience wedding reception music on weekends in the summer! We have proved 2 sleep sound machines to help block any sound, but keep this in mind if you are booking during wedding season. Kindly respect the privacy of the guests at Shullys Watermark. (Wedding crashing hurts our reputation!) Thanks! You can walk to anywhere you need to go in Thiensville, but if you're going downtown Milwaukee, you will either need a car, an Uber or Lyft. If you are bringing your bike, we are just a couple blocks from the interurban trail. Bike, walk or run from Milwaukee to Port Washington! Thank you! We have renovated the downstairs (Master BR, Master BA, 1/2 BA, Laundry, Kitchen and Livingroom). There is a canine guest fee of $10 per night per dog. Let us know you have a dog and the fee will be charged separately through Airbnb. If your dog is allowed on the furniture at home or typically sleeps with you, we just ask that you please put a protective blanket over the white duvet covers before you let them up. (Blankets are at the foot of the beds) Kindly put a blanket on the leather couches for your dog as well. (They are in the livingroom basket) If you need to leave your dog alone in the house for a period of time, they must be crate trained (please bring your own crate) OR you can put the baby gate up at the bottom of the stairs and close all of the downstairs doors. That could suffice for them to stay alone downstairs for a short time as as well. (I’m sorry, but I have to charge you for any damage your dog causes to the house... scratching, chewing etc) Sorry, no kitties!Thanks for understanding!
